And... He used the music cause it was awesome not to symbolise 40k as being about freedom. Plus in the 40k fluff there are guys that kind of fit in with the image of Pirates. Rouge Traders, renegade (non-chaos) marines, renegade guard regiments and then u get the Kroot who are mercs and the Eldar (both kinds) do alot of space piracy. But of course thats just according to background info. Then u get BL books the characters in those the characters still seem like free spirits anyway.:)

Noooo, they don't. Unreal Tournament is based on the Unreal Tournament 1 engine. Quake is based on the Id Tech 1 engine, Quake 2 Id Tech 2, Quake 3 Id Tech 3, Doom, Tech 4, etc.

Epic has always used its own engines, as has Id. Hence, Unreal Tournament 3 / Gears of War use the Unreal 3 Engine.

In fact the technology to make bolts for the bolt weapons like the bolter and the bolt pistol is rare and only a few forgeworlds are able to produce them. In the military of the Imperium bolt weapons are a sign of status and only the senior veterans or officers have the right to use them. As for bullet weapons which are called autoguns are seen only on the most aincent colonized worlds, the lasweapons are the main weapon type in the use of the imperium.
