  • this song is special. One of the best I've ever heard

  • pickstock listen to the vocal vibrato

It's Mark Birch- Andy Powell has a DIFFERENT vocal quality that is very close to Mark with that being said were done with this topic closed book

  • This is the REAL-DEAL Wishbone-Ash -Andy Powell stayed thee entire stint to date.. Marty Turnstile lost his voice uses a pitch corrector his band is very lame due to not playing many gigs- but stealing from the REAL DEAL,Mark Birch sang this as sure as a bear schitts in thee woods leastburst -blackangel- yur comments don't hitt the cheap seats as well

  • its powell on vovals. I know it is cos iv seen him live more times than i can remember and it sounds the same

  • This is Mark Birch on vocals, he was with the band when this was recorded,,Nice, but yeah give me Martin singing it anyday

  • THE ORIGNAL IS A NICER MORE MELLOW AND DEEP SOUND AND THE BASS A ND TWIN LEAD MAKES THE DIFFERENCE YOU CANT BEAT THE ORIGINAL LINE UP BUT I THINK YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT AND SAYING ITS NOT ANDY POWEL SINGING ON THIS VERSION I STAND CORRECTED STILL VERY GOOD THOUGH.

  • I CAN HONESTLY TELL YOU THIS IS WISHBONE FROM THE BARE BONES ALBUM AND IT IS ANDY POWEL ,BUT NOT AS GOOD AS WISHBONE 4 I HAVE BOTH ALBUMS.

  • doktorville

    It's Mark Birch's voice....

I garantee the real deal wishbone ash Andy could pull it off

don't get the other artifically imitation band Martin turnstile

  • A superb re-recording of an old Wishbone Ash classic. Thanks for posting.

  • gorgeous solo - never heard this version - really nice-thanks for posting

  • Yes it is andy powell from the 'Bare bones' album nice!!

  • This is the first version of the song I ever heard. Heard the original, but I think this is far superior.

  • This is a Wishbone Ash but from album BARE BONES compilation with re-recorded version of this fantastic song... Original version is little bit different but this one is much much fresher :)

  • And the solo at the end is an absolute classic - Andy - you da man !

  • I can confirm that as well - it's from Wshbone Four - I've got the album. Actually one of their best.

  • Certainly not Wishbone Ash..but reminds me...thanks for posting..back to good old days

  • Sure this is whishbone from the album wishbone four 1973 last song on the A side. This is not however the original recording.

  • wie vergänglich doch alles sein kann---wahnsinn

  • Mark Birch former guitar player is singing this song. Bob Skeat on bass, the wonderful Andy Powell on second guitar (playing the guitar solo) and Ray Weston a scottish drummer komplett the band at that time. Mark Birch was one of the best singers Wishbone Ash has in the last 40 years. Only Martin Turner former original bass player could reach this level. Great song from a super band.

  • I think it is Wishbone Ash led by Andy Powell from the Rare Bones album. It is an acoustic album which accounts for the difference in sound. But this is Andy's voice.

  • Of course:))))

  • I agree with lesburst..This is Not Wishbone Ash...

  • You Wash your ears!

  • that's Wishbone Ash as you know it,we know WBA from decades ago sounding differently...

  • lead vocal something different????????

anyway thanks a million for a posting.

  • This song is one of my all time favs. Listen to the version on wishbone ash four. Turner and Powell and Martin are just Great!!! You hear it a few times and you`ll have to agree that it`s Great.

  • Yes:)

Best wishes from Poland for you :):)

  • Yeah even if are not wishbone ash , you obviously love this song as much as i do.

  • This is NOT Wishbone Ash, this is a very poor imitation which does not do justice to the original, and whats the deal with the pope video that accompanies it??

Go out and buy 'Wishbone Four' with the original song on it and you will see what I mean.

  • Of course Wishbone Ash !!!

  • Actually...it IS Wishbone Ash. I had the CD and this is the very same track.

  • Wash your a good ears.

  • It is a profanation of the holiness of the Pope of John Paul II.

Don't already more do something like that!

This song is beautiful but the video clip is iconoclastic!!!

  • They both have good ideas. As friends.

  • i know it's none of my business, but that person in the photo wouldn't happen to be someone you consider a friend?

  • Beautiful Song

    Beautiful Words

    Beautiful Voice
