im abit confused is the rookie master chief cuz if you look at the date the odst story line is a few years early before any spartan had been their its like when master chief first went to the unsc. then halo wars. thats when the spartans showed up with grey armour but in game thier green. the odst and spartans at the end killd arbitor but 1 stayed and sacrifised himself and all the odst and spartans were frozen to pass through time unharmed. thats when halo combat evelution comes in. remember

uhm, actually halo 3 ODST is an expansion of halo 3, but, BUT it takes places 2 weeks before halo 3 and a few moments after captain keys goes into the covenant slipspace in new mombassa in halo 2. but what i dont get is halo 2 mombassa isnt as high tech as the city in ODST, so i think the one in halo 2 is a ghetto part of it. but there is even a halo 2 reference when the pods are dropped, you see the covenant carrier go and you can see the ship go to the right of it and go in with it.

correct. but in the entire halo series of BOOKS there is some time alternation...read the book "ghosts of onyx" and you'll see about it. its confusing...but everything is very delicately put together in all the halo games and books. i havnt gotten to reading the one about contact harvest yet.

Honestly, with the twist ending of Halo 3 that obviously shows we haven't seen the last of Master Chief and Cortana, I wish Bungie would be working on whatever is after that instead of a prequel to Halo 3. That's not to say I'm not excited for ODST; I am. It's just that I want a new storyline...Halo 4, or whatever is next since Halo is TECHNICALLY a trilogy, has the opportunity to take Halo in a completely new direction. ODST looks like more of the same.

ODST isn't A Halo 3 Prequel it's set during Halo 2 Thus, it's a Post Halo 2 Prequel, And 2nd: I think Halo:Chronicles may Be About Master Chief's Revival.

If you finish the last level in legendary the video after the credits is longer. So you have the normal one before the credits, the normal one after the credits, plus another bit; it's only a few seconds long but interesting. =]

pretty simple. the Halos have been taken over by the prophets and you have to kill off the prophets and the coveneant before they fire the halos, destroying the universe. but in Halo 2 the elites discovered the "great journey" the prophets foretold was a lie and joined UNSC and they all killed the prophets and he halos the end.

There are no SPARTANS left in Halo 2 except the chief. During the battle of Onyx before Halo: Combat Evolved, many SPARTANS died and gone missing. But then again, there could be more of them out there. It's just that the Master Chief is the only SPARTAN in active duty with UNSCDF.
