I doubt he got directly hit by lighting. My guess is that it was one of the branch offs that you can see in the video and that the main piece hit behind him or somthing. Direct hits have incinerated trees.

Heard stories like this before. There was a guy not too long ago that was struck and for some odd reason, he no longer has to wear a winter jacket no matter how cold it is outside.
