Election was decided by the supreme court with Scalia voting for Bush, that's all.

an engineering company in the uk is building clear tubes to hold pure co2 from the atmposphere and put on roofs of houses to heat the houses and reflect the heat back in, more cost effective than solar panels.
Gore got soft, I mean honestly if he would have ran in 2004 he would have been able to beat Bush. Because I remember the climate, I really wasn't feeling John Kerry and Bush was still unpopular, if Gore would have won the people already knew they made a mistake by voting Bush in 2000 (even though he didn't really win) but honestly if Gore would have ran again in '04 he would still be President right now.
According to Deborah Cory Barnes, author of The Money and Connections Behind Al Gores Carbon Crusade, Al Gore started Generation Investment Management (GIM) with co founder Hank Paulson. if gore becomes president, the military industrial complex suffers like it did in the 90's, I don't think we will ever have contenders like that again
He made a costly mistake in hiring Donna Bitchzile as his campaign manager. He should have at least taken some advice from either James Carville or George Stephanopoulos
I would vote for Al Gore again. I think if he got President Clinton more involved in helping him get elected president he would have widly won Florida and Tennessee. Tennessee took a big shift to republicans during the 90s and that's why Gore didn't win there in 2000. I think if he runs in 2016 he would win by a landslide and win Tennessee and Florida.
I also think Gore made a stupid mistake in hiring Donna Brazile as his campaign manager. I am a proud Democrat, and I will not deny Brazile is a proven egomaniac. She has history of presenting herself as a smart aleck. SHE ALSO DOESN'T HAVE TO BE A COMMENTATOR ON ABC NEWS, NPR AND CNN AT THE SAME TIME. She was very rude to Obama on inaguration day too. SHE OBVIOUSLY WANTED TO TAKE MAJORITY CREDIT FOR A GORE VICTORY, AND WANTED CLINTON OUT OF THE PICTURE SO SHE COULD DO SO
I am a strong Democrat, but I will not deny that Gore acted like a jackass during his campaign. He actually thought Clinton's scandal was a liability to him, and it most certainly wasn't. Clinton remained very popular in the Gallup Poll throughout basically the remainder of his Presidency. The Democrats gained more Congressional seats in the 2000 elections, yet Gore's stupidity could not give us a Democratic President. Lieberman was also a stupid choice for Vice-President too,
It's shame that Gore ran a stupid campaign. He could have easily been President if he had let Clinton campaign for him. He acted like an imbecile for thinking he could have won the election on his own. In fact, the sleazy impeachment trial cost Republicans more seats in both the US House of Representatives and US Senate. The Senate was split 50-50 for both parties in 2001 and control of it shifted to the Democrats after Jim Jeffords left the Republican Party and caucused with the Democrats
Al Gore would have won by a landslide if he'd had Clinton beside him at every campaign stop and reminded people if they liked the last 8 years, they'd love mine!! Gore distanced himself from Clinton and that killed him... he was afraid Clinton's sex scandal would have hurt him but people cared less... Clinton's approval rating was in the 60s!
Exactly! Gore also screwed up big time when he tapped Lieberman as a VP simply because he had been a Democrat who strongly criticized Clinton's affair.
wow, an idiot republican, why dont you see the the global warming documental of him, that won the nobel on 2006,you are just a simple ignorant that wants war on iraq, why dont you go to irak ,die and make a favor to the country.
Oh, the irony. Obama couldn't get into this convention and didn't even have enough credit to rent a car in LA. The economy was great and we thought the good times would roll. And Joe Liberman was the Democratic nominee for VP. Oh, how 8 years can change things.
Yeah, the thought of a president who would have actually read daily presidential intelligence briefings. The thought of a president who would have actually met with the CIA's counterterrorism division BEFORE the planes hit the WTC. I can't understand why people entertained the idea of voting for Bush in 2000, his father was bad enough, things were great in 2000 and the country was in better shape then than it is now. That being said, if Gore had won in 2000, would Obama have been elected in 2008?
I think so. Gore would have done great things to benefit the people. IF anything, the Right partisan regime that was in place since the Reagan administration would have been put to an end probably in the 2004-2006 senatorial elections, and the Left partisan regime's power would possibly have been sharpened by the election of another Democrat to the White House in 2008 (in this case, Barack Obama).
I think that in 2012 there will be an interesting race at Democratic Partie: Al Gore (maybe he doesn´t), Hillary Clinton (her lastname is a big push up), John Kerry (he deserves a second chance) and the newly one. At the otherside I think that Mr. B doesn´t have "the balls" to race again, who else???.

lol, the founding fathers created the Electoral College because they wanted to limit the power of the American ppl to elect their president.....this electoral college gave way to new strategies in campaigns, and bush beat gore by good strategies......
@chadpopstar That is absolute BS. Gore knew he lost Florida, and that is why he demanded recounts ONLY in Miami-Dade and Palm Beach, both of which are heavily Democratic counties. He did not ask for recounts in the rest of the state because he knew it would only add to Bush's lead. Gore tried to steal the election but FAILED.

America can't afford their deception and extreme agenda.
A decent, honorable man as John McCain will be the next president, for the good of all.

Gore, Kerry, Obama... cute boys in expensive suits. Liberals trying to hide their true colors with empty rethoric and lies. The blame-America-first crowd cheering with American flags and pretending they do share America's values and faith. They failed before an will fail again. America can't afford their deception and extreme agenda.
A decent, honorable man as John McCain will be the next president, for the good of all.

revmundy Im sure you thank God for bringing us Bush instead??? What drugs are u on? Whats wrong with a man showing his love for his wife and giving her a nice real kiss? Are you a Christian conservative ? If so it explains your utter stupidity .....keep your head in the sand.

Does anyone know what music is playing in the background at the beginning of the clip?
ShadesOfGrey1321 3 years ago 3
For 8 years I've been wondering that myself. Maybe it was specifically made for that Gore tribute video that Tipper presented before he went on (does anyone have a copy of that btw?)

Thank God this fraud never became president I shutter to think what it would have been like had he been president during 9/11, he probably would have found a way to blame it on global warming. Instead of the war on terror it'd be the war on carbon emissions, what sack of crap, doesn't it look like he's passing Tipper some illegal drugs with that kiss, geez get a room!

We got attacked under Bush's watch. Not only that, HE WAS WARNED SEVERAL TIMES. Just reporting.
Instead we have gotten attacked by America's #1 Terrorist, Jorge Doble U Bush!

greg2009 3 years ago 25
Yea I heard al gore is trying to run for president in 2012. But I dont think that will happen because Barack Obama will be the next president of the usa this nov 4,2008.

@greg2009 Are you as dumb now as you were then or have you gotten smarter over the last ten years?

@joannesiano That is absolute BS.

That's not the point. I'm giving him that honor because he was rightly elected.

Gore doesn't wanna be President anymore. He already has enough money and power.

Al Gore is the best President we never had.
bdb08 3 years ago 5
Yeah the only mistake he made was picking Joe Lieberman as his running mate.
gurney50 3 years ago 6
I agree. Kerry or Edwards would have done it.
