when they shut down internet or whatever...why dosent alex or his computer guys develope a plan to set up a communications network via ms dos and terminal commands...ie old world internet,whereas if the internet shuts down and your dsl server stops working and ie explorer is no more or mozilla or whatever you could connect thru terminal commands to a specific number and have alex's info emailed to you or you just read it or dowload it thru that PhNo.old world internet for new world crisis,think!

Lots of people are not ready for that. Sure you and I could probably make it happen I remember using pro-comm plus back in the day to setup file sharing and BBS services between myself and friends. It would work but we really do not know what they will do to the telephone companies or what abilities they have. Even old computer style communication relies on their infrastructure.
