If anyone wants the song I have it in MP3 format..drop me a message...I always try to buy Julies songs first but if they aren't for sale what's a gal to do......
how is this song not on itunes! i hope they make a best of season 1 pan am compliation disk. the music is awesome on that show, as is the show it self!
If ABC had any sense they would've included this on their playlist for fans to buy and download ... 40's through 60's is an amazing era in music, fashion, and style. The world is just beginning to get reacquainted of the slick definition of cool and hip, sexy, and classy. It's a sliver of the Jazz genre but it has always been what defines American culture. Julie London is the full package!
Love it! In the premiere episode of the new ABC TV series "Pan Am", this song plays on the soundtrack in the scene where two of the characters are, to quote the title of another Julie London song, makin' whoopee.
I think I'm Julie's biggest fan. I knew her from 1966 until her untimely death in 2000. She was a real "gas" to use her vernacular. She was beautiful at all stages of her life and was the definition of cool and loved to have company. I dated one of her daughters and Julie always welcomed us teens into her home and we all loved visiting with her. Now that I'm older I appreciate her music more than ever. She was one of a kind. She never realized how good she was.
@philmonroe In all fairness, the show did not mention Julie London as the singer of this; so we all got here by doing our own searches for this song. So take THAT, oh so smug old one!!
@Graydonpow For one the comment didn't say how they achieved the information of the singer being J.L and obviously looking at the comments/replies made it was from that show where they heard the song and then searched lyrics it to come to the conclusion of who it was. Secondly, I'm 29 so fuck you as you don't know who here made that comment at all - possibly my brother and he's 15. Anyways, I'll pass the comment on to him and you two can fight it out via COD or some other crap you kids do
@philmonroe All I did was make a simple comment and you somehow felt that entitled you to abuse a total stranger! Wow, you're really classy! Thank you for commenting in such a manner here because now the entire world can see what a total jackass you are!
@philmonroe All I did was make a simple comment and you somehow felt that entitled you to abuse a total stranger! Wow, you're really classy! You say you're 29 but you write like you're 15. Thank you for commenting in such a manner here because now the entire world can see what a total POS you are!
Wow how many times are you gonna reply til you think you sound not so retarded :/ You really need attention this much ya whiny little brat? My brother is
right I did get under your skin over nothing. Hell it was weeks ago so move
on in with your life ya tard. All this over a comment I made weeks ago where
it was a sarcastic little reply?!? You decided to take it as personal??? You need more in life than to worry about YouTube comments. No one else replied. You're ridiculous.
I think a whole lot of us found this video because our curiosity was sparked when the song was used in the first episode of "Pan Am." Nice foxtrot tune, too, although I don't think I'll ever be able to hear it again without thinking of Colette and that married man having their fling in the hotel room in Rome!
I knew when I heard this on Pan Am there would be a Julie rush!!! LOL so glad that I've been a Julie fan for years and anything that continues the resurgence of interest in her career is fine by me.
