Head Youtek IG Prestige Mid Racquet Review

I play with a POG mid and am wondering whether or not the prestige would be a good fit for me. Is the feel comparable? I assume the prestige would give me a bit more pop. Or should I just lead up the hoop on the POG. Thanks TW, love your guys' work.

They appeal to the same level of player, but offer a different feel. The beam design, string pattern and head shape all combine to offer a different feel. You really need to hit the Prestige to find out if you like it.

The Prestige Mid, yes. That would be the most similar racquet in Head's lineup.

Horrible racket with no feel at all stiff and harsh and small sweet spot .

@tenniswarehouse Actually the racquet said IG Prestige mid, so yeah, I hit with the IG Prestige Mid, it sucked big time, vibrated and hollow. I'm with the Pacific Xfeel 95 now, a different world with the same string, Yonex Poly Tour HS. Feel to me has to come from the racquet not strings. What string you had on yours??

Hi. I'm thinking of getting this racquet because of the suggested larger sweetspot and softer feel from this one, but have reservations about the really low swingweight! I have been playing with the dunlop 200 tour... is the plowthrough really there with this prestige Chris?

I would need to add weight to the hoop I think, jst dont want to add to much more mass as its already 348g... I just feel like I want to play the prestige again (used the 600 about 9yrs ago)

Hi TW folk,

What is the shape of grip pallet on this new Prestige Mid? Is it the same as the previous Youtek version?

I like TK82s, which is more square shape than the original Head grip shape. Unfortunately, it's not easy to find one.

The grip shape is unchanged and is the original Head rectangular pallet, not the Speed pallet.

If you like this racquet then stick with it - it's perfect for a double-hander because they've lengthened the handle to give you more room.
