what do you mean you havn't learned any techniques from this show? they are bbq experts and show you how to cook their bbq dishes and give you their recipies that made their restaurant famous! their bbq sauce is the best and i will personally never buy bbq sauce again. as for their other food, your right the technique might not be the greatest, but they are very enjoyable to watch and i love that it portrays a black couple who are happy and not gun toting thugs like everyone thinks black ppl r.

That wasn't the Neelys' house used in the first couple batches of episodes. It was a model home. The newer episodes were produced at Pat & Gina's actual home.
This show is one reason I have a hard time watching the Food Channel anymore. I don't want the personality parade, I just want to learn better ways to prepare food and to correctly use my kitchen, knives, ingredients , etc. to enrich my whole food experience and share that with my friends and family. I've learned enough so that I cringe when I see incorrect techniques and people that know less than I do having a cooking show! And the terrible part is, Im not even an expert! Im back to Julia .

I love them, they are so down to earth and their food is quick, easy and tasty. The ribs, rub, and sauce is the bomb!, especially for those of us who do not live near Memphis. For those who hate like "sifell" come back when you grow up and
Finally Foodnetwork is bringing some soul to the network. For a while the blackest thing on here was Emrile. Now we have the Neelys who are the hottest couple eva! And Sunny Anderson who is growing on me. Now all we need is chef Garvin from TvOne and I'm in love!
Barefoot contessa was one of my favorite shows. I Love me SOME BOBBY FLAV & Paula. Ofcourse I enjoyed all those shows but still A very important presense was still missing the Neelys. Out of all the talented Chefs BLACK AMERICA WAS MISSING. At times I would be sceptical tunning in to the foodnetwork. I hope just will continute to give the Neelys my support. I just know they will continue to stay A success. They recieve such great rating because many like me was waiting for this change to come.
The Neelys is A Beautiful Young Couple. Glad to see people with simular characteristics such as mine being represented. Cooking is also my passion. I hope your family continue to stay A success Ladyclover04. They will continue to have my support. The FoodNetwork needs to give them A better air time, because I work, and I harly get to see there show often.
