  • @12345kayleighc Her dad got a job in Washington, D.C. at the end of the first season, and she went with him. She's been seen a time or two since.

  • RIP Elizabeth Sladen. Doctor Who won't be the same without you.

  • If that's the amount of soldiers to announce a death wonder how many for an alien war or even 2 deaths lol

    RIP elizibeth sladen

  • What is this? Some kind of spin off?

  • imagine, the greatest companion of the doctor dies of somethingas mundane as cancer.

  • @Luke2042 not necisarily sarah Jane would stop any evil doers that come to earth.

  • @MegaTitanicboy if not her they'll have torchwood and martha jones :)

  • I really hate what RTD's done with U.N.I.T.; it's a real insult to the original conception, like what Robert Holmes did with the Time Lords.

  • @MaskedMan66 Keep in mind, this is U.N.I.T. as it would have logically progressed since we last saw it. And this is probably a more logical assumption of how a military organization that handled extraterrestrials would act, even if it was a more lenient one.

  • @TheZacula "Logically" according to whom? There's no logic; Russell Davies is rabidly anti-military and that's it.

  • the Doctor and Sarah's ast run x

  • 4th dr woot

  • SOMEONE POINT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF MORE OF THESE MATT SMITH NONEPISODES

I'm in withdrawal due to Moffat's 'summer break' and just need a few more hits off of the old Dr. who drug. HELP MEH OUT

  • @MaskedMan66 i'd say, isn't clyde like a white mickey?

  • @mcridiculose Sure you would.

  • I'm crying right now. Liz, we won't forget you! Sarah Jane will live on!

  • whens this eppisode on n is it on cbbc or bbc and i know it says cbbc just asking anyway.

  • How can Doctor Who be so brilliant and this so crap?!

  • @nathantjjordan Now lets be fair. Doctor Who is GODLIKE!

  • @nathantjjordan Budget. This is just kid's tv. They'll forgive it being a bit more rough round the edges :-)

  • @arabiansanchez "This is just kid's tv."

I'm sick to death of people saying crap like this. Children are the most discerning audience on the planet, and they demand quality too. And in this show, they get it.

  • @MaskedMan66 I've been a child and I know children now, thanks. What I said was legitimate. This is a kid's show. it doesn't have the budget of Dr Who or Torchwood. Do kids care? No. They want a good overall product. Their suspension of reality is better than the average, pedantic adult.

  • @arabiansanchez The same can be said of me (in spades, I suspect), and while I agree that children have the superior imaginations to fill in imperfections, I resent the insinuation (which I don't think you were making, but others have) that they "deserve" less quality in their programming just because they're "kids."

  • @nathantjjordan You're joking of course. This show is more like "Doctor Who" (the original series) than "Doctor Who (the new series) has ever been.

  • @MaskedMan66 That would because it's done by Russel T Davies. When Steven Moffat, Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and kinda Alex kingston (She'll be a "proper" assitant later, I think) came along it was going to change. I love Russel T Davies, David Tennant and the old series but with so many changes its going to be different and if you stop comparing them you might realise the new series of Doctor Who is brilliant. This is more for kids, like Torchwood has an older audience.

  • @MsIlovebooks Excuse me?! By "the original series," I mean THE original series, which ran from 1963 to 1989, thanks very much. Everything from 2005 onward is the new series, and is nowhere near as enjoyable as the original. It's good, it's just not as good; SJA, however, had a lot of the charm that was associated with the original series.

  • @MaskedMan66 Fine, I was wasn't sure. I wasn't even alive when it ran, so I didn't know. I'm sorry if it offended you.

  • @MsIlovebooks You didn't offend me, you astonished me. Even folks who've only seen the show since its 2005 revival must know it's been around longer than that. All the same, I do apologize for unloading like I did. I was just gobsmacked is all.

But I've said all along of SJA, even when RTD was producing both shows, that SJA felt more like classic DW than current DW. More family-friendly, less doom-and-gloom, that sort of thing.

  • @MaskedMan66 I knew, I was just being stupid. I'm very aware its been around since 1963, I had a very ditzy moment (I wish I could say they were infrequent). But you're right that SJA is more family-friendly, having watched both this week's Torchwood and Doctor Who, I won't disagree with you. Even if they were brilliant, they were also petrifying. Sorry for my ditzy moment.

  • @MsIlovebooks No worries! We all get 'em. I know I do.

  • RIP Elisabeth Sladen.

  • This was the first episode of the series I watched, I wanted to check it out because it involved the Doctor. I watched the episode and expected to only pay attention to the Doctor, but I found myself paying more attention to everyone else besides the Doctor.

That was this Sunday, RIP Elisabeth Sladen, I wish I could have watched the series earlier.

  • RIP Sarah Jane.

  • They came armed to their teeth just to say Doctor was dead? =__=

  • surprised myself by shedding a fair few tears when i got the news she died. She looked so healthy. I hope when my time comes I look half as good as she kept herself.

  • r.i.p sarah jane she died today from cancer

  • @foreverabelieber100 Isnt it weird that you're getting thumbs up for that comment?

  • @ShaunCarlin What's wrong with approving of Lis Sladen resting in peace?

  • @MaskedMan66 The way the comment looked when I read it was that people were giving thumbs up because she died, but I see what you mean there

  • @ShaunCarlin I getcha.

  • @foreverabelieber100 i thought she was best companio though i watched it from no.9

  • I love this episode. The line "Shuffle for your life" just kills me

  • I freaking love Jo! <3 She was such an awesome companion during the 3rd Doctor's era and now's she's a even more awesome Mother/Grandmother!

  • Ah I see UNIT has upgraded to a DIGITAL matte painting in recent years!

  • I've gone in 13 Bannendon Road Gone In the Attic Said "Mr.Smith I Need You" Nothing Happened
