@Hemorraghe I was using a Crate Powerblock amp with a speaker from a Marshall MG80RCD combo. The Marshall amp got fried so I took out the electronics and kept using it as a speaker cab. The Crate Powerblock is a good amp but doesn't color the sound much, which is good for me cause I use a multi effects pedal. The tone was mainly coming from the Korg AX1500G Multi effects pedal. I have a totally different setup now with a Zoom G7.1ut Effects pedal. My tone comes mainly from the pedal not the amp.

Nice. I played until Katrina. Just couldn't face having to replace all of my equipment and never picked it back up. I had a vintage Fender that sounded incredible.

It's not plain black. It's see thru black. Camera just doesn't quite catch it I guess, it really was a crappy camera lol. I guess from a distance it's not that easy to notice the transparency either. I like this color though :)

mine is pretty good... very happy with it. Although I'd still trade it for a higher end model with active EMGs :)  I got my eye on the EC-500 or EC-1000

It's a great guitar, but if you have the cash, go with the one with EMG pickups instead... either the passive EMG Htz or the active EMG 81/85... you'll be even happier with it.
