  • who played the banjo?

    was it andy scott?

  • Country rock before the Eagles started doin it.....

  • Country rock before the Eagles started doin it.....

  • why was this footage excluded from the Sweet documentary DVD? Andy's request?

  • How are those flip-flops gettin' you around on that beach, fellers? Are ya gettin' any support at all from 'em?

  • @normoy I'm glad I'm not the only one, I was starting to feel weird!

  • @Angusismyhero flip-flops are evil and not just because you get no support from them. I'm very anti flip flop and yet I live in 'flip flop central' in the Bay area in California! I think folks got lazy in choosing proper footwear and like breaking their feet in some way or all got athlete's foot. Can't tell...

  • Yeaaah.....The Sweet playing Country...

    Yeeehaaaa....

  • I'd love this video if I didn't have a sort of foot-phobia... XD

  • Hah! I found you!

  • BOO!

We were laughing at the trousers today too. They're all so awesome :)

  • Rip Brian and Mick...

  • GOOD MUSIC.

Something you never hear these days.

I wish I was alive in that time. Unfortunately, I'm only 14 :(

  • I just love this song and the video is great and so rare! Love you, Brian! :)

  • Brilliant old video

  • Отлично! Bravo!

  • I love this song and this video! The sound isn't exactly synced with the video at some parts but it's great anyway. They look so cute in their sandals. The part when they are goofing off on the beach makes me laugh, especially Steve. He's hilarious.

  • They have many good songs like this..

    great this 70's!

  • WOW!!!

  • haha there so cutee i love them

  • lol the flip flops^^

    brian with his unmistakable voice!

damn, he was (o,.,o) so... ♥

  • I LOVE YOU BRIAN forever

  • mick and andy gotz sideburnz @ 2:40!!!

  • this reminds me of the ring.i feel like that chicks gonna come out of the screen at 2:14.l.o.l

  • but its preety good

  • R u kidding me, I love this song. Now funk it up that song...yeah that's another story, lol.

  • Funny how sweet coco can be I think thats it

  • hahahah what is mick wearing??

he needs to go up a few sizes, i think.

  • I have this on original 45 record =]

  • i love that toe-tapping!!

  • auch ohne viel brimborium waren sie einfach klasse ich finde dieses video genauso super wie das papa joe strandvideo super unverbraucht und easy !!! beate

  • That woman in the video. Is she related to Steve?

  • why would she be related to steve?

  • because she looks a bit like him

  • miss those times.. things seemed simple then. But I was only 13..

  • Hmm.... Can't help but feeling sorry for them. The things they had to do!... It's a "sweet" song though...

  • I don't know if they were made to do this. They did write it themselves after all so they can't have disliked it.

  • Looks like a typical british summers day, down on the beach.

  • made me think of "in a seaside town that they forgot to close down"

  • Great country flavoured song... and great Tinker Horse galloping in the vid!

  • Flip-side of Poppa Joe here in Germany. Nice one - and self-written like all their flip-sides.

  • i have this on record, and correctly as you said the B side to Poppa joe

  • well its not my favourite piece by them...It lakes there cool style which is more predominet in songs such as fox on the run and love i like oxygen. I do like the sweet tho....Best badn ever

  • Nice flipflops! LOL

  • In the netherlands this was the b-side of Poppa Joe.

I like Brain's vocals here, he 's so versatile.

Considering this was 1971 it's not that bad at all!

  • Probably one of the sweet WORST peices...apart from there laters works when they had sacked Brian :(. RIP BRIAN and MICK

  • *ROTFLOL* I'm with you, Anrina... A horror indeed! Who on earth dressed Mick, anyway? =) *LOL* I know that *I* might have had pants like this way back when, but then I'm female, and was probably about 14! Somehow I'd never seen this video before. Too weird... Wonder just exactly WHAT they were promoting?!? (and if anyone bought it?) *grin*

  • oh my, what is this horror? :)

  • I almost killed myself laughing! I love Sweet!

  • When I was seven or eight years old I got this album "Sweet Biggest Hits" from my father. It's on this album. I love the old Sweet stuff.

  • I thought that this was a skit from some Benny Hill show: " And here's Sweet performing Jeannie off their latest musical bum...uh..music album"...and I was expecting that beautiful girl's smile to missing two of her front teeth or something.

  • Dude you're so right! I love the early Sweet stuff, but can never watch this again without thinking of gap toothed girls leering!

  • The b side of funny funny is " Your Not Wrong for Loving Me" It is their song though. They could be a lil more into it. lol

  • that is quite possibly the worst music promo video ever made!;-0

Thank god they turned the guitars up after this!

  • i love you brian...forever

  • This was on the b side of funny funny

  • I have NEVER seen this before. Adorable. Thanks for posting it--wonderful.

  • WOW...Thanks!

  • Oh Dear...Thank god they left Bell Records, They were trying to slowing turn this band into something awful.

  • I could be wrong, but I think Bell only distributed Sweet records for a short time in America. In Europe, where they recorded, wrote and produced most of their music, RCA did all the business.

  • luv it when their playing Leap Frog

  • man this hilarious, Mick can barely keep a straight face, andy don't look too impressed, Steve has the same opinion as mick while Brian is the only one getting into it. Who would have thought that in a few years thye would be dong Blitz, Fox and Blockbuster? Great vid.

  • Probably the most good looking girl ever.

  • First heard this on The Biggest Hits album, great memories, from the the most underestimated band of all time.

  • wow, i thought i was a diehard fan but i didn´t know this song at all. when was this released? the music sounds like bay city rollers but with a far better lead voc.

dear clockwork thank you very much for posting this ! ! !
