DON'T get surgery every one that I no that got it after a while had to constantly have a pain management of some kind (mostly chiropractic) and in some cases the rods broke
I didn´t have the chance to get a brace :( Now I wanna get a surgery but my parents say no because every surgery is a risk......... but I simply wan´t to become a normal woman who doesn´t look like a complete freak :(
:/ I'm getting posterior spinal fusion surgery on February 13, 2012 at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.... I have three curves, my largest being 88 degrees :(
This is indeed amazing!!! I was wondering if that would work with me, problem is I'm 26 now and my bones have obviously stopped growing, I've heard so many different things from doctor to doctor, that I don't know what to believe any more, but thoses results are impresive!!! My worse curvature is 39 degrees in my lower back. Should I have any hopes?
@rimar25885 I have a similar problem. I´m 19 and I didn´t have the chance to get a brace (cause back then I was afraid of being bullied ) :( Now I wanna get a surgery but my parents say no because every surgery is a risk......... but I simply wan´t to become a normal woman who doesn´t look like a complete freak :(
In addition to this remarkable therapy, sleeping on an inclined bed raised 6 inches at the head end will afford gentle traction throughout the night to accelerate progress significantly. This is called "inclined bed therapy" and is completely free and non-invasive. IBT alone has rectified scoliosis over several months of avoiding sleeping flat. Significant positive changes have been reported and documented across a wide range of medical conditions. Can we talk? +44 1803524117
I haven't gotten an x-ray in a while, but the last time I got one my back was curved at 14 degrees. I'm sure that it's worse now... I really hope that Michigan will get into this program. I could really use it because I sometimes have difficulty breathing and my back almost always hurts.
Almost unbelievable! I'm 15 & I have scoliosis, not nearly as bad as she did, 47 degrees on the top, 30 on the bottom, & I've been wearing a brace since June 2010.. 3 years to go, & I've had very minor results.
THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE! wow! I want that! :( I have scoliosis with an upper curve of 67 degrees and lower curve of 47 degrees and I am afraid of its progression, and honestly I want reduce like Kaylee....is that possible? Can you accept foreign patients?
@jemlebeau Results obviously vary, and no two scoliotic spines are exactly the same. How we measure success depends on the patient's goals. Some patients simply want to reduce pain, or stop the progression of their scoliosis. Others want to try to attain a reduction. Adults will have stiffer tissues, often with degenerative changes, that hinder rapid progress. However, adults do frequently use the CLEAR methods with good results.
omg! dude, seriously, is there any of these kinds of places here in Tacoma/Seattle WA area??? i have like a 60 something degree curve in my upper back and lately i have back pain cuz of it. surgery scares me, and i really dont wanna have to deal with possibly more pain than before the surgery. her curve is (was) severly worse than mine by the looks of it, but if that kinda treatment made her look like that, shit..i want wat she's having lol...but no seriously shit sucks
is it still possible to fix a 19 year old's back? And how much would it be on average? I have a 49 degree curve. I got a treatment that reduced it to 35 degrees but i don't know if it grew back because it does feel like it did. (The treatment stopped working - osteopath) Please don't tell me 'it depends' :( I need an estimate of how much I need to save up. I live in Australia so I'll be saving for the flight as well and I don't want to go to california and someone tells me i don't have enough.
my friend had a functional scoliosis after traumatic event for 18 years but 2 visits to this Advanced biostructural correction doctor reduce scoliosis to almost none in 1 week. he didnt have any abnormality of vertebrae, when there is a torque in dura(structure that is protecting ur spinal cord) , by trauma(birth trauma, auto accident, periods of bad posture, to head, and cranial distortion, spine can go twisted to reduce stress on spinal cord.
my sister is suffering from scoliosis since childhood and its because of 3 neuro surgeries she has gone through. she is 23 now and has this curvature back. is there some exercise that you can suggest for her : ) . we would be so thankful : )
@kupcake4eveh do you have updates and photos of Kaylee now. My Chiropractor would like our daughter to check into the clear method but would like to see updates since the video is 2 years old. Thanks. Nancy Howard
:'( my best friend got diagnosed with scoliosis on monday. she's 13. by December she will be walking like this girl. I feel so bad. this girl is really cheerful I hope her treatment goes well!
0.0 I actually know her! looking at her now, you would never have guesses scoliosis had affected her life. she is just as beautiful now as she was then, and she is one of the best dancers I know. she is a strong and amazing person!
,..i really hope that there would be a clear institute here in the PHILIPPINES,..lots of people here was wishing for it,..we really want to be cured like kaylee cause no one would like to live with there scoliosis and got it worst as years will go by,..
the treatment takes as long as your willing to give to it. I'm still currently in treatment now. I only go about once or twice a week but when it comes to how long it takes to complete treatment.... it really depends on the curve, the flexibilty of the muscles, the age of the patient, and how willing you are to give all you have to this treatment. Unlike surgery and bracing, this type of treatment takes a whole lot of work, but ends up more successful in the long run!

Good day. I have a question Dr. Janzen. I am from the Philippines and I really wanted to go on a rehabilitation program. I'm 19 and planning to have treatment after I graduate from college 1 year from now. Is this method still effective fro people in their 20's?
wow this is soooo inspiring... wish they have the same awesome doctors here in the philippines.. recently i just learned that i have minor scoliosis.. and like kaylee im dancing too.. can i rehabilitate my scoliosis by myself? coz i dont know if theres some doctors who treat scoliosis here in the philippines
I am so very happy for you! Your experience has such a wonderful outcome! You look beautiful!! I am 55 and my back is a mess from scoliosis. I am fortunate though, no pain. Well, take care & God blessings!! Hugs, Sue
i went to an osteopath here in australia and they reduced my curve my 35%. (50 degrees down to 30 degrees). But it had a slight effect on my ribs. my left rib is slightly out but not noticeable. but at least the hump on my back isnt as bad as before..i only found out about my scoliosis when i was 17..im turning 19 now..The first 6 months they reduced it by 15 degrees. Then the next six months, only 5 degrees so they told me i should look for a better treatment.
We have had people from different countries who saw my video and came into the Janzen and Janzen center in Campbell, California. We would love to have you come if you would be willing to do everything in your power to make the curve better. Just message me with any questions you may have and i will do everything in my power to fiind you a treatment center to help your curvel;)
this story is really encouraging. I have mild scoliosis with a twisted torso primarily because of poor self esteem issues from childhood days. Seeing your transformation gives me hope that there is treatment available.
Thank you very much:) making people especially teens with scoliosis feel better by giving them hope and helping them understand that scoliosis is something not to be something you have to hide from the world but embrace is what i love doing. So I am 99.9% sure that I have scoliosis, my mom and my grandma (who has a pretty bad case) both think I do. My back looks like hers now with one hip slightly higher. I'm going to a doctor for it this summer. I am 15 years old and I was wondering if my spine will get any worse? Should I get the back brace? And Do you think this treatment could straighten out my back fully or almost fully? Will the Specialist I am about to see know about this treatment?
omg i just went to the doctor and they said i have something seriously wrong with my spine. they said i may have to have surgery. Im scared to death. I've never had surgery before and i don't know what to expect.
Having had Scoliosis myself and having had it cured by a different method, it’s certainly possible without surgery. Search mjYU_fWhjU4 in the You Tube search box to see me having a treatment session with a Theraflex machine. My back used to disappear behind my shoulder blade and a few sessions on this and now it’s visible along the whole back. Before and after photos on my Facebook Group : Scoliosis Cures and Pain Relief. Have a look, get your therapist to have a look and get them to get one.
why are people being skeptical?? Clearly, the results she wanted were attained....she was walking hunched to one side, and then at the end of her treatment she was walking perfectly fine. Clearly, whatever was done, worked!! Congrats. I am 23 and suffer pretty severe scoliosis. I refuse to do surgery but am still trying very hard to find another option. Schroth method seems to be the only thing out there that works
Hi, thank you for sharing your story! Your story was amazing and I am so happy for you! I have really bad scoliosis. My curve is 85 degrees Thoracic. I might be getting surgery very soon but I would really like to try anything I could before having my last option (surgery). I was wondering where this facility place you went to is located? I live in Ct. I also was wondering if i can contact you through email to ask you a few questions about it?
wow this is soo good I got chills just watching this video. I'm so happy for her. I myself have scoliosis, I just wish we had CLEAR more closer to Miami, FL. This therapy looks extremely effective!
When the doctors took xrays of the curve with a lift the curve itself actually got worse! And the xrays at 3:51 were seated therefor the shoe couldnt change anything.
Perhaps....it is the large shoe lift not seen in the first part of video and then seen later on on the right shoe that would explain the remarkable change in the pelvis balance seen in the xrays at 3:51, thus correcting this functional not structural scoliosis...
Since when has a shoe lift ever taken a scoliosis curve from 63 to 10? If that were the case shoe lift would have been the answer instead of surgery a long time ago.
Ah, kupcake4eveh...we've found you ! Could you share some of the neurologist's findings?? I am very interested in hearing about your story. Congrats on your results, all your hard work paid off!! You must be so grateful that CLEAR techniques were available ...so you could be helped without surgery.
A neurologist is currently treating me and they finally figured out why i have all those weird symptoms. There are photos of adamns forward bending test but i guess they didnt make it into the video. How would that even make a difference though?
The "neurologist" referred to here is not actually a neurologist, but a chiropractor with neurologic training. We plan to have a video posted soon of the results from this treatment from Dr. David Lepp, DC
wow this is soo good I got chills just watching this video. I'm so happy for her. I myself have scoliosis, I just wish we had CLEAR more closer to Miami, FL. This therapy looks extremely effective!
We just posted video of a forward bending test on kaylee. The intent of the test was to do Schroth Breathing exercises, but to do so she must be in the Adams Test position. Please continue to ask questions. We will have more video footage coming, as we realize people want to see more.
JanzenandJanzen.....does anyone know if Kaylee's parents had a neurologist take a look at this video...wondering if a neurologist could give some insight as to the obvious neurological defect which contributed to her curve developing in the first place.????
Neurologists at a major educational institution in the area said Kaylee had no neurological problems. We'll have more video footage showing some neuro issues. We are now realizing people want to see more, so we are going to do our best to document everything for people to see.
No actually, per Kaylee all they did was check an MRI for Chiari/syrinx.
It doesn't sound to me like a board certified neurologist or neurosurgeon ever evaluated her neurological symptoms apart from the hysterical scoliosis.
It would be interesting to see what they would say upon evaluation.
@janzenandjanzen wow this is soo good I got chills just watching this video. I'm so happy for her. I myself have scoliosis, I just wish we had CLEAR more closer to Miami, FL. This therapy looks extremely effective!
This has probably just saved my life and my dance career... THANK YOU!!! I need to find a place like this aound where I live, you give me hope(':

Right now, in the United States, over 100,000 cases of scoliosis are diagnosed every year.
The only treatment options for them are bracing & surgery.
I think people living with scoliosis deserve more choices when it comes to their spines & their lives.

When the doctors took xrays of the curve with a lift the curve itself actually got worse! And the xrays at 3:51 were seated therefor the shoe couldnt change anything.
kupcake4eveh 2 years ago
Perhaps....it is the large shoe lift not seen in the first part of video and then seen later on on the right shoe that would explain the remarkable change in the pelvis balance seen in the xrays at 3:51, thus correcting this functional not structural scoliosis...

@janzenandjanzen
And I didn't realize chiropractors did neurology.

@janzenandjanzen wow this is soo good I got chills just watching this video. I'm so happy for her. I myself have scoliosis, I just wish we had CLEAR more closer to Miami, FL. This therapy looks extremely effective!
