when shorter and hancock play together it was always excellent, even now. a couple of the last great jazz juggernauts left from the davis era, i couldn't reccomend going to see either enough if you get a chance.

Shorter pays tribute to blue note with a boogaloo as first track;but this is so personally that doesn't seem the same boogaloo stuffo from those years. This album is great.Note the magnificent cymbal work from Joe Chambers!!!
