LOL. Klaus refuses to sign before the constitutional courts approves? He can't sign while it's in the constitutional process, that's written in the Czech constitution. BTW it doesn't matter now.
Your'e retarded. Don't you have TV in Uganda. We need to get you people TV's ffs. Nobody has stood up more than the Irish. They have had 4 referendums at least on Europe now. Nice 1&2, Lisbon 1&2
At 1.08 he says with regard to the Czech republic" we should respect the constitutional procedures".
What about respecting Ireland's we said no the first time and straight away Sarkozy said wrong answer we would have to vote again, and guess what the yes men in Dáil Éireann said very sorry we will get it right next time !
Ireland's situation changed since the last referendum and all the main political parties of Ireland apart from Sinn Fein were in favour of the treaty.
It is democracy. The Irish still had the right to vote no. You people should respect the right of the Irish people to change their mind on the Lisbon Treaty.
Well, I think if Mr. Blair is elected as President of the EU, it won't be good at all if finally Britain gets the referendum promised by Mr. Cameron. There's a huge part of the Labour voters who don't like Blair in the overall when he was in charge. Besides, the less euroesceptic part of the tory voters would definitely support a "NO" in the referendum, perhaps just for the presence of Blair. Not to mention that Blair is far from popular in some of the member states. A bad move, surely.
Among other candidates there are a couple of political dinosaurs, such as the former president of Spain Felipe Gonzalez. He believes in a strong EU, but he and his government had one of the biggest cases of corruption in the recent history. During the last 10 years he has been giving conferences. I don't know that man, Mr. Balkenende. I've to fin out more, cos so far any candidate looks fine for me.
Balkenende..... Yeah he could be president, just because he's such a good lapdog... He accentually doesn't even care about the fact the Dutch voted no on the European constitution.... Doesn't care at all... So, might as well make him king, or let's replace the pope or wait, let's make him the supreme being of the universe, so we can all be happy....
It would be very bad for the current goverment if Balkenende really takes this job.
Theres allready enough dislikes and lack of trust in the country against the goverment, when the PM steps out during these times like a jobhunter while he has denied he would so far then that can only bring more bad to the goverment.
However... the idea of Tony Blair sounds even more crappier to me if im honest.
But thats mostly becaus the whole treaty that brings this president sounds crappy to me.
Good point, although I good see my neighbors just be happy about him being gone... So I guess I don't want him to go.... But then again, they ain't gonna be happy with him as European president, where, of course Jan Peter would annoy more people them ever before, so h*ll, take him... Blair we know and hate so now it's JPB's time to take one for the team! But if I'm honest, it doesn't matter, Blair, Balkenende.. If that's it, where f*ed beyond repair....
There is a notion of supporting 'Blair for USofEurope President' even amongst those who see him for the lying charlatan that he is; the man responsible to taking the UK to war on a tissue of 'sexed-up' disinformation, the man who reneged his election promise for a referendum on the European Constitution on the basis the Lisbon Treaty was utterly unrelated.
This vague hope is because wrongly people pray with Capt Snake-Oil at the helm we may yet have a favourable outcome for Britain. Fat chance.
There is not a snowball's chance oin hell that Cameron will jold a referendu,. That could only happen if the Lison ratification process were still 'alive'. But Klaus is unlikely to delay matters for another nine months until the British General Election. He will append his signature to the Czech documents of ratification (after their Supreme Court has given the green light for a second time), and the Treaty will come into force by January 2010 at the latest.
Like it even matters how's President... There just gonna take more of our money, while thinking up more idiotic law's and rules, like how strait a cucumber should be...
If you want a good eal to Glue, EU, Russia, USA together, than Peter Balkenende is the right man. that will deliver. Toni Blair is just a slick Talker nothing more. the public doent like him.
also my friend another note would be if at 1st you vote no then do it the irish way keep voting until we get it right and vote yes. what a joke our government is. forcing us to vote again.
Actually it would make a lot of sense to make Barroso president of the European Council. Now, to all you Barroso haters, keep in mind that this is an administrative role only, with no executive power. What's important is that there's one less bloke who goes around calling himself "president".

Hilarious! I love the way they refer to democracy and independent thought only as an "obstacle" which should be removed with "haste".
Very funny.
What a bunch of coked up spastics are those politicians.

My condolences for Ireland's vote
You 'yes' voters have chosen the illusion of security by a political elite to replace your precious, hard-won freedom, centuries in the making.
You EUrophiles never fought for what you had, so you know not what you've lost.
Truly tragic.
