they're like stickers...the side touching the gem is not sticky if you peel it off and the side touching whatever surface you put it on is sticky

Hmm. that seems to be new to me,. The one I carry.. either has stick on it..and it bind really tight to the phone but if you applied enough pressure it will be okay and comes right off leavng no mark just a clean phone. And the second type leaves little gap in between beause of the tack tape but its easier to removed and wont leave any mark,,,, sooo.. i;m not really sure if I've ever crossed your type before
