I always loved everything I ever heard about or from Elvis. I never got to see him. But I loved him, including the not so good or dumb things he did. I dont know why. Of course he never knew I existed. But he felt like a very dear brother to me. And the voice was, of course, incredible.

No One will ever compare to ELVIS PRESLEY he never used his last name didn't have to everyone knew him by his first name and he was just that way. I doubt that anyone ever called him Mr Presley with the exception of the litle lady who made his meals and she knew just what he wanted when he got home from a long flight and a after weeks of being on the road. Had the privilege of seeing him in concert in Buffalo June 1976. Best concert to this very day i ever saw. He absolutely has you hypmotized. It is impossible to describe unless you have experienced seeing him in concert yourself. Plus i was already an Elvis Presley fan years before the concert.

This CBS TV-special is extremely emotional viewing. Elvis, tired beyond words after twenty years of the craziness that fame brings, doing a show for TV just a few weeks before his death. Remember seeing this with tears in my eyes, and was completely knocked out when he did this incredible version of "Hurt". Elvis had the voice of an opera singer at the time of his death, and this version is a testament to that. The legacy he left behind was LOVE, and nothing can equal that.
