I've been watching a show from England that films police officers as they do their jobs, and all i see is them being so overly polite they look almost like pussies. Then I see Jamaican's and other immigrants who, when the police stop to ask them for identification, start screaming and fighting, talking about "i'm filing a report" when ALL they had to fucking do was show their I.D. and be on their way, but hell no they have to act like fucking animals. My heart goes out to the cops.
I bet all these protesters will have good jobs in a couple of years time. Every generation of protesters and rebels sells out and goes on to join the system after a few years. If you look carefully the police are not using any violence. They are standing still for ages and ages waiting for the protesters to move off the road. Even after the protesters refuse to move they do not use violence they push the protesters back with their shields off the road. You forget the protesters are in breach of the road obstruction laws by unlawfully blocking a major road.

she was't on benefits because she had lost her job and needed some help, she has never worked , has a long history of shoplifting and drug abuse, not much of an advert for the demonstraters. and yes it does give him a right if you see the abuse she was aiming at him along with the rest of the crowd.

Violence doesn't solve anything, the people really in control must be laughing when they see violent protesters against the police, It just gives them more of an excuse to implement further restrictions on protests, and who would you really be hurting ? you won't be touching the people really pulling the strings just another human being. Correct nobody should complain about peaceful protesters, well they can but then they should lose their right to complain about the government. At the same point though with regards to the 47 year old who died due to the push and hit to the leg by the officer, if the officer faces manslaughter charges then so should the shopkeepers who sold him that cheap larger for all those years

I wouldn't be suprised if the "pig" does time because the met will have to leave someone out to dry, but i was pointing out that he wouldn't have died if he hadn't been drinking all those years or something of the equivalent. The 35 year old woman was not seriously assaulted she was struck with a baton after been told at least 3 times to move away and responded by pushing, shouting and spitting at the officer. By her own admission she lost her rag - legal baton strike
Tomlinson died because he put himself somewhere he shouldn't have been. If he hadn't happened to have died later the would be no story all that happened was he was pushed when he didn't get out the way of an advancing police line

Anybody who says that woman was on benefits must be having a laugh, she probably is a uni student who's parents are paying her through university, regardless of which everyone should protest for the sake of protesting, i was at g20, and go to football matches consistently, i have good and bad experiences with the police, i do respect them as they do a job which i know most people couldn't do, and they mostly do it very well.

what i didn't get in all this when they were reviewing the police action against some protestors saying it was unfair the way the police treated them i had totalled disagreed with them.
sure the police were wrong to throw down that guy who later died of a heart attack, but come on police were surrounded and the protestors turned nasty pushing police back and almost attacking them, they were attacking offices as well so i say police action was necessary they had to defend themselves

I did, however, see police batoning people who didn't appear to be doing anything much. I don't agree with idiots smashing windows and throwing bricks at the police. Perhaps they were Agents Provocateurs, intent on causing disruption and giving the police an excuse to charge, I don't know. One thing is for sure, the establishment wants to discourage peaceful protest and mistreating protesters is one way of putting off such protestsin the future .

The police were keen on giving the bad protesters bad media. If you were at the protests you would see that many of the protesters reactions provoked.
If you 'kettle' in any human being into a very concentrated area for 5/6 hours, you're bound to get some bad reactions.
And yes, the protesters got through their point of urgent world change quite well. Not as much as they could have, but so much 'bad press' did result in the point slightly getting across

I do not think the press is always right, in fact I hold journalists in very low regard. I have seen a great many articles lately based clearly on the opinions of people with little or no expertise in the field the are commenting on.
That aside though, true protectors are passionate about a cause and have their own strategy for change. If they just want to show they are angry as you say then they are not "protectors" they are simply vandals and thugs.

Actually we are not. I had a bath that day (it was my birthday...) and the only damage I did was to twist my ankle scrambling away from a line of cops intent on beating peacefull protesters who were exercising their right to be out on the streets voicing their dissent.
