Harry, I have seen pictures of Jock sitting in the Copland Road end in the late eighties but have no memory of the incident you refer too. If true, you are correct, it would have been a disgrace.

greig, he turned up with his wife and was turned away at the main door. The guy on the turnstile was shocked and said "you shouldnt have to pay to get in here Mr Wallace" Big Jock told the story to the Sunday Mail, true to form he was more concerned about his wife who was upset, than for himself. I am sure he probably preferred to be sitting amongst his own people anyway. R.I.P. both Big Jocks.

greig, actually I paid to get in. As I remember the Celtic part of the north enclosure was not as full as the Rangers part, its worth remembering though that the main Celtic end, which was full, was about a third bigger then the main Rangers end. Big Jock is indeed a Rangers legend but after you sacked him you humiliated him in front of his wife by turning him away from the main entrance and making him pay at the gate. Broke big Jock`s heart. Disgraceful.
