An artist who has never gotten the credit he deserves simply because there is no single niche to fit him in. The industry does not understand people like David.
if u ever get the chance 2 spend one night in new orleans french quater..you will understand bromberg....he did so much more than u see here..great stuff
You can actually take guitar lessons from and then perform with DB at Jorma Kaukonen's Fur Peace Ranch. DB shows up a few time each year as a guest instructor. DB is just one of many legends Jorma hosts.
DB is his own man. Great talent. can't be pidgen-holed. Great at all genres. Unique! This is why he's worked with some of tne greatest musicians of his time.
Funny. Born in '59 and had the same experiences- though I went to the U. of MD. And just returned to DC from Lubbock!! Still, Bromberg is jazz, not big band. Smooooooth. Thanks.
I was born in '73 and by the time I was 3-4 my parents had me listening to Bromberg. He's a musician's musician. I let my 4yr old daughter listen to this album last weeka and she loved it. I went to Texas Tech and I listened to a lot of David Bromberg during the long drives from the Dallas area to Lubbock.
Great driving version; hadn't heard other than the one on LP (the cover with the "King Kong" Bromberg). Love this song! The lyrics are a scream! And the musicianship is way up there all around! (Not surprised.)
I always love that David gives everyone their time to shine.

I love this song, remember finding his records in the cut out bin at Newberry's & being so glad that I did. What a way to spend the day.
