I went in to buy a new Mazda CX9 and the salesman showed my a comparable Acura MDX (used) they had on their lot and highlighted the features of both. The Pacifica is also an older design, yet it has a much nicer interior, better style, and yes, it does a lot well. This review is ridiculously biased, and to be honest, the Pacifica was a segment of its own, the Taurus X, is meant for hauling the family, while the Pacifica is more of a relaxed cruiser, and it also has a WAY better ride than the Taurus X.
The pacifica is way better than that stupid station wagon that grew a few inches taller. 3 People in my family have gone out and bought fords... whats in my driveway now, 1 chrysler, 2 dodge and 0 fords. The Pacifica is by far more attractive, and the reason it can cost up to 40 grand, is because of all the luxury features available, not too mention its build quality is far better. I dont want to bash the Ford too much, because I have owned some exceptional Ford vehicles, but anyone who drives both of these vehicles, will enjoy the Chrysler Pacifica much more, and find it more of a value.
