  • Yea, as a machine tool builder, I've never seen Loctite installed on anything that has an o-ring. Also, Loctite does not like to set up if it not a clean/dry or active metal.

  • The size for the primary Torx is T27. Also you don't have to scrub the white debris completely from the threads, just make sure they are wiped clean and there's no excess. You cranked that oil filter on way too tight, it won't come off so relax a bit.

If you're going to do a "how to" video you should at least make sure you are doing things the proper way. You even say it yourself "I don't know if that's the right way or not."

  • again clean around the area befor u put it back on! break cleaner works great and the use a air house to blow it off and u only hand tighten it on! holy shit man suprise u havnt striped the threads out yet. but u do have a sick bike love the all black and the bars! but id get different rims on it or atleast get spokes in the back blacked spokes woulb be awsome!

  • I do have a queston. When you added the fluid to the primary case, how did you know it was full? I do not want to overfill mine so is there a landmark that will let me know i have added enough fluid? Thank you for the video and nice bike. I have an electra glide. I am like eveyone else and can not afford to go to the dealer for every service. Any help anyone can give would be great.

  • @Hog0611 have ur bike standing straight up (not on the stand!) on a level ground and fill the oil tell it touches the clutch u only want like a 1/4 inch of the clutch submerged in oil and if u have a lowering kit in just the front or just the back it will be wrong then unless u have an even lowering kit and if u have a bike older then 2000 i would not recomend synthetic in the the primary cause it can make the clutch slip

  • @Hog0611 and alway clean around be for and after u change the oil. dont use lock tight on the drain plug just the cover bolts and always replace the seal and torx to the recomended seating if u can or just firmly tighten it the lock tight will do the wrest

  • He should of read his Owners Manuals on the bike before doing any work.

  • Great vids bud, not bad for not been a mechanic or tech. You do save some cash when you DIY. Awesome, good job!!!!

  • Great videos but one suggestion for you is when you put the new oil filter on you should only be making it hand tight don't use a wrench that is why it's so hard to get it off, you should add a little oil to the filter maybe 4oz. As for your Derby cover bolts you should be using a torque wrench as there's a torque value for these, not sure what it is for your bike. Thanks again for posting.

  • @MrCrow1963 You read my mind. Gotta put oil in the filter for twin cams. GREAT video. You explain everything so that my 8 year old daughter could do this.
