Yep end of the line for me in this game! All he times I played I can NEVER finish it! Near the end of running round Dagobah looking for Yoda where it ends for me.
I love Dagobah on both this and the SNES game, but in either version it ends on a rather difficult note. Habogad in the SNES version is a right sod to beat!
I remember every step of this. I must have played it ten thousand times before I finally got to Cloud City. And I had to use hypnosis on the preying mantis.
If I remember right, this the Dagobah levels were the last I recorded for this walkthrough before I uploaded the entire set. Did not look forward to the replay.
This was the level that most people gave up at, if they ever finished level 1. It has a very old-school, 8-bit mentality... leaps of faith, mistakes punished by sending you to the beginning of the level (if you're lucky), and Mega Man-esque absurd level enemies: the praying mantis and jumping slug come to mind. And no passwords.
Hope this doesn't annoy you too much, but you missed a Force power that I just happened on. It's on one of the very tall trees near the end. I don't know if it's hypnosis or not yet.
I think I know what you're talking about... but since the Graphic Eye is so freaking useless, I usually wait until Cloud City to pick it up. It's right on your path there and doesn't require any fighting...
There's one part where I find it very useful. In the next level, when you're on the little bridge going over the water, when that big bug comes at you suddenly and tries to knock you into the water. I've never been able to jump out of the way of it in time and the hypnosis graphic eye saves me every time. Admittedly, it's probably the only spot it works, but I do believe it has a good use.
Thanks for posting. This is one of the most difficult games I ever played, mostly b/c of the awkward jumping. The Dagobah level was as far as I got b/c there was one point where I never figured out where to go.
