Sweet, sweet shot! What exactly are the sequences of the controller commands to execute that shot?

Do you press L2->shot button-> direction? If so, how much of the shot power gauge do you fill? Is the direction to the right goal post? Thanks!

Not L2, this is normal lob shot with 'L1'
