We can save the wolves by boycotting beef,boycotting tourism to Alaska,Montana,Idaho,and Wyoming,and supporting the wildlife groups, aswell as writing to our elected officials telling them that we want wolf hunting and trapping banned outright along with any kind of trophy hunting!

I'm not trolling youtube, the wolf reintroduction to Idaho means a ton to me, and I am totally for controlling the population as it has already got out of hand. While natural predators such as wolves eat the weaker ungulates allowing the stronger ones to breed, hunters take the larger and healthier animals for their disgusting and grotesque trophies leaving the weaker animals to breed. Very detrimental to wildlife, the natural balance, and biodiversity. Its you hunters who ought to be ashamed.

Have you even read the Idaho Fish and Game reports lately? The survival of yearling calves is down 90% of what it was in 1995, isn't it a bit odd that wolves were introduced that same year? Oh yeah, there's a little thing called Game Management Units and based on the population of a healthy elk herd the department of fish and wildlife regulates how big of animal is allowed to be harvested. I would gladly shoot a cow elk if the opportunity presented itself as I am not a trophy hunter.

Game Management is a fancy name for a front which should be called Manipulating The Wildlife Populations For Hunting Interests. The USFWS' slogan should be; Putting Hunters Above The Public And Welfare Of Wildlife Since 1940. hunting in idaho remains great ~ there is perhaps one zone in idaho that did not meet objectives ~ winter habitat plays a far larger role in big game objectives than do wolves.

the state is managing wolves to preserve welfare ranching on federal public lands ~ period.

Hunting in Montana has been good to. Elk numbers are up. and the herds are probably healthier, as wolves have culled sick and old Elk. Funny how climate change doesnt seem to come up in any of these talks...
