My hearing comes in under the speech "banana". as a child it was moderate loss, each time i have hearing test its gone down. Went for hearing test and new digital aids couple of weeks ago, now my hearing has gone down to profound loss.
@shufflefin aww. my hearing loss is getting worse and worse.. i swear. people think im retarded because when they ask me a questio and i hear them( i answer them) but when they ask me another question ( i dont hear them) and i just shrugg my shoulders "i don't know" they think im retarded lol.. btw do you know what thats hearin aid thing that u put inside the ear canal?
@shqiperiany hang in there. Remember that they just don't understand your situation. Explaining it to them goes a long way to helping.
The part in the ear is the ear mold. It basically keeps the tube positioned in your ear canal. There are a bunch of differing aids on the market so make sure you get the one best for you. Good luck
When I am in public place thats very loud like a restaurant, public bus, grocery store especially, food court at the mall a person talking directly to my face might as well be whispering cause I hear it mostly on the moderate scale you have hear and I am about to turn 40 very soon (May 24) and i think the long string of ear infections is starting to have a permanent toll, I really think I should have ear tubes inserted
Thanks, I have been experiencing some of this in the last year and am about to see a doctor...its a hard thought to be 30 and losing my hearing, but even though its still relatively minor its time to figure out why my right ear feels stuffed up occassionally and hearing becomes more dull. This video helps me to understand that I am really facing what I am facing and there is no denying it. Its time to figure out what I am going to have to cope with and how.
Am I incorrect in thinking it only shows the lessening of the upper frequencies? It seems like only one half of the audio gram is changing? Am I misunderstanding? thanks
@lio3737 You are right. The loss in these videos is more in the higher frequencies. The moderate and severe examples do show a significant loss in the lower frequencies too. My understanding is that the types of hearing loss shown here are the most common types. Thanks for noting that.
some really good stuff here

This is such a fun example. Hearing loss in the higher frequencies is more common. Well done.
