This may have been syndicated - I think I recall it being aired on a "UHF" station. When it bcame america 2nite, maybe it moved to a major network. It was wildly original and genuinely clever,

unlike the homogenized overly pc & bland sitcoms on the dying tube these days.

The funniest thing about this is the "alien undersmell of cheese." In Whitley Strieber's "Communion" book that first popularized the "alien greys", he in fact mentions a smell of cheddar. That book came out in 86 i think.

DIck Shawn was hilarious, but spotty. I wont disagree on Sellers. I don't know Ricky Gervais. You also have to include George Carlin and Peter Cook.
