I've never heard the original, but sis... That was lovely! When it first started out, I thought it was a professional singing, no lie. And as I listened more and more, I got chills down my back. XD You did so beautifully in this, sis! Thank you so much! I love it! *hugs* :D
@BRboi777 Thanks! The backing track was me taking the MP3 of the song and just manipulating it in Audacity (free audio recording software) to lower the original vocals. I can't play any instruments or program music so it's pretty much the best I can do for now, but I appreciate the nice comments. :)
I grew up when Hall & Oates were actually popular, so they are super nostalgic for me. XD Interesting suggestion - I will keep it in mind!
@gosengo124 Hehe, thanks for going back and reading the description. XD What's weird is that I actually have decent recording software and professional quality microphones. At some point when I have my stuff rigged up better I should probably make a video to show you guys my setup. I honestly think it may be that I only have laptops and they're not powerful enough or the sound cards are too crappy/noisy or something. I'll keep trying different things.
As for the recording issue, I don't know what your situation entials exactly, but have you tried plugging in a rock band mic (wired) into a USB port on your computer? If it's a PC, you can use Audacity, which is freeware (I use it to record my own music) I find the mic cuts down a lot of the BG noise. There's also an effect in Audacity: Noise Removal. Never had to experiment with it, but maybe it's worth a shot!
Thank you so much Lammy. This is truly beautiful. I think your vocal setting on this recording is great! Unless you are not totally satisfy with it, don't change it. Also what a way to kick off your TCMusic videos ^^ Thank you thank you thank you!!
This is lovely! Where did you get the background music?

That was quite amazing. Two things:
a) did you play all the instruments or did you get help from others?
b) could you try and do this is as a cover? It's more upbeat but it's kinda got that indie feel (Hall & Oates ~ You Make My Dreams Come True ) :)
But seriously, this made me nearly cry. Which is a hard thing to do. I hope you have a good day :')
