  • I have another program that is free and easy

it is called Media Player Max

You can Download it from here:

    w w w.My ipod city.com

  • ha ha lord of the rings

  • i am agree with mmby09 Just Download Gom player.

  • Nice try. Keep it up check out esteembpo + com for social media marketing. cxc

  • Video playback lags when I play .mkv files. When I use Divx to play the movie it says "Filed to create media display device playback of this media is not supported by the display hardware" When I use Windows media player 11, VLC, Total video player or Windows media classic it lags badly. Why does the video lags? is it because of my computer or I missed some codecs? I really want to watch Final Fantasy!

  • i downloaded those codecs and now ic ant even use windows media player. Thats what I get for trusting the internet.

  • thank you so much now i can watch my naruto series lol ^^

  • can you help me i have anime episodes ive downloaded but when i play it in media player classic its out of tone

  • Guys, Just Download Gom player.

  • to thanks man all ur info helped i wud say i luv u but then that wud be gay so am jus gonna say thanks lol peace

  • damn am having problems getting the things he told me to get! someone msg em please lol!

  • thanks so much! this clip saved my ass. i wasted 3 hours last night trying to get a file to work.

  • does anybody knows how to fix this can not create directshow player

  • which is better zoom player or vlc player???

  • u are noob gross and should be ip banned

  • vlc is all you want, it plays just about anything. I use Flash 8 and windows movie maker to make a video.

  • What about dvr-ms is there a codec for that?

  • Is there a video software to let me make a video?

  • media player classic!!??

    no thanks!!

  • Take that VLC and shove it up your ass. THAT'S some bloated piece of crap. 1 media player and 1 codecpack isn't bloated.

  • Bad advice imo. Just download VLC and your good to go without the codec bloat.

  • can't see some subtitles :/

  • Sorry about that, I'll make them bigger next time. The links are available in the show notes if you visit the website.

  • dam i already have that but I never knew about the settings ty

  • MPC is really great, I used it since 2004, by using MPC, u don't need to download any kind of codec...it supports all the video types 2

PS: I try the way u talk about by change the setting to directx9, but there are not a bigger different, is it because my graphic card only support directx 7.0(even though I do have directx 9.0c)?

  • SERIOUSLY, you really don't need to sit there and install codecs.

  • on the end of the video there is a mistake spotted instead of twistedtechtv u wrote in the video twistedttech.

    horrendous mistake.

  • Yeah I know. Spotted it after it was posted.

  • @TwistedTechTV >:D thnx alot it really helped a 15 year old , like me haha

  • Excellent! I have been having trouble getting various video formats to work together - thanks

  • ace mega pack codex is way better codex. I never had to install more codec to watch my videos.

  • anything for Mac OS 10?

  • VLC also works on Mac.

  • VLC!

  • Thanks.

I will sponsor you with this comment.

  • cheers

  • Thanks! The VMR setting work great!

  • VLC is the best

  • VLC is the shit yes it is

  • It's a little more complicated than just installing a player like VLC but you get to control Direct Show settings and ffdshow has lots of useful video filters. Having said that I actually use VLC on my other computer. It's a good player.

  • VLC is the shit. yea yeaaa!

  • VLC FTW.

  • I have bouth VLC and FFDshow

and bouth are good but i prefer BSplayer

  • agreed, BSplayer wins. VLC for anything that won't run on bs.

  • hahaha.... i though i would be the only one mentioning VLC. why would you go through this trouble when you could just use VLC?

  • VLC has increased my quality of living.

  • "Death to the VLC" ? Why would you say that unless you work for Microsoft or something. VLC is one of the best inventions that I've ever seen. The man that gave us VLC must have been very anti-big-corporation as am I. If you want to let big corporation rule the net, I can tell you some things will change. The internet will stop growing and won't be fun because everything will be pay-per-view. No more free youtube.

  • VLC is the best

  • thanks helpful info. keep em comming

  • These videos take too long to tell too little. I'd prefer a list of the codecs needed.

  • death to the VLC!

  • Ahem, VLC player.

  • VLC FTW.

  • Dude! Those VMR settings are killer. Thanks!

  • i couldn't delete that slow-loading, bloated, non-functional piece of Very Lousy Cinemaplayer from my PC.

Geeze. Windows media Player classic is compact and it plays EVERYTHING

  • Media Player Classic lives!

  • Until you want to tweak Direct Show settings, then it's not a waste of time. ;)

  • Are we having a player war here? Who care what player you use! You have to admit that this video is very informative. I'll keep watching!!!

  • What is VCL and VLC? HAHA...

  • It's VLC, a video/audio player for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux that plays lots of different formats.

  • VLC !!!

  • VCL is a good media player. But sometimes I have to use WinAmp to play the videos taken by the digital camera. I'll install MPC and give it a try.

  • Just thought I'd point out that the URL given in the video displays "TwistedTTech.tv" - simple typo that I thought would be appreciated to know of. ^^;

  • Oops Thanks! ^.^;

  • There are some really good players like VLC that I might put together a comparison for in the future. The only downside from using them is you don't have much control over the video playback using Direct Show. And for tweaking video the filters in ffdshow let you do a lot more than any player I've used before.

  • I was surprised that VLC was not mentioned. VLC doesn't need any codecs and plays every format, it even plays directories with ripped DVDs, and divx video CD images. No other media player plays that.

  • wow this was amazing I actually learned something.. LOVED IT.. hope ya'll keep making them... 5 Stars

  • I have a much easier method...download VLC

It can handle any codex (except for Real Media), without having to download all the other codes. =D

  • VLC is a good player and it is much easier. You can also get a codec pack. The only drawback is you can't alway tweak Direct Show with prebuilt players.

  • YOU GUYS ROCK! Gotta watch the vid 5 or 6 times, but still YOU GUYS ROCK! Thank you.

  • I love the music at the end =)

  • Thanks. :)

  • nice to pick show, i already use those codecs, but didnt know that mpc trick(setting), ill keep watching your videos =D

  • awesome. i was wondering about the mp4 stuff.

  • really nice show respect :) i think many people understand it what you do in your videos :)

  • VLC!

  • That's a good player. I use it on my Mac.

  • I'm no expert in Russian but I think you pronounced Matroska as Matroski.

  • Matroska is pronounced m-A-trio-shka.

  • Thanks Dejital. Now I know how to refer to Matroska in the future.

  • I tried out the DirectShow settings. Very nice! I can see lots more detail in the black areas on my videos.

  • I love your show, It kind of reminds me of the old TechTV. I can really use this information for my own show on IT careers and Skill building. Thanks, keep it up.
