  • I'm not like awesome at MuayThai or anything. But I have done it for a little bit. The only thing I see wrong, ameture to ameture is that you're kicking with your leg instead of kicking with your hips and rotating on your foot. Think that your leg is a baseball bat, and when you swing a bat you swing with your body and your whole body goes into the swing. You're flinging your leg like a bat, but the power comes from your hips. If that makes any sense... Be easier just to show you... But yeah...

  • yoo i train muay thai and bjj but any ways your punching looks good your kicks not that much you got the power and everything but when you kick with that right leg make sure you pivot on that left foot it gives you a wider range and motion for you kicks and more power to and just one little thing with your punches when you punch man make sure that you're punching from your cheeks every punch start from the cheek and come back to the cheek but keep trainin man you'll get better

  • You need to rotate your hips over so your hitting with your shin. Otherwise you are going to destroy your own knee by kicking with the side of your foot like that in a roundhouse kick.

  • It is all in the hips, if you stretch out your hips and work on turning your hip, we use this to train our mewashi geri which is for a few differences a thai kick. Lay on you side and practice lifting you leg and turning you hip, and when that be comes natural try siting with the kicking leg behind you bent and try kicking that way keeping your foot off the ground.

  • I stay in bangkok, now training in Sasiprapa, so i can tell you kick is very bad, its soccer kick not muay thai, u supposed to kick with shin turn ur hip and sholder , drop one hand down and other up... keep practice :)

  • You actually don't look to bad, all you need is somebody to show you how to rotate your hip over when you throw your kicks, so instead of hitting with the side of your shin/caf witch is what you're doing now, you would be hitting with the front of the shin. good luck in your training.

  • your not that bad...bro your hands are okay your kick do need a help but i must say you can be worked with your punches are nice and liner and your kicks are strong you just need to post on your front foot and turn into your kicks and us your hips to turn the kick all the way over threw the target. and your gas tank and that bad aswell to for the ppl that are not fighters should keep there negative thoughts where it belongs in your head. if you need any tips or help ill post a vid on how :)

  • Your punches look pretty crisp. One suggestion on your kicks. You need to practice on using your hip motion when you kick and planting your feet. Your hips will give you a lot more power into your leg kick and make sure you plant your feet correctly before kicking as well.

  • I've been taking Thai for a while now and nmh also. But u need to step on 45degrees and throw your hips. Then knee. Then your chin. And twist int the kick.

  • shhh I had two stop after 30 seconds too much. dude get a trainer and take it slow . take you shoes and spcks off no shin pads. kick with the shin. yes it hurts at first but shin kicks are the hardest. technique first power and precision come with practice.

  • BTW I just read your description and your statistic about 90% of fights ending up on the ground is not true. Because you're a wrestler I'm guessing you have some good take down defense. Keep working at muay thai, especially work on your clinch strikes. If you combine the take down defense of a wrestler with muay thai grappling strikes. You will be a grapplers worst nightmare.

  • Your footwork is shit, your center is off, the angle of your kicks are horrible (not to mention really really slow) You're in horrible shape if you get that winded from such a low intensity work out, you throw your head in before you strike , you pivot on your toes instead of your heels, you keep dishing out the same combos, you are not using your elbows OR your knees at all, you step forward before you kick and your breathing is off. Damn son, you need to sign up with a camp ASAP.

  • Unberjim is right if u turn ur standing foot it would make a big difference however practice doesn't always make perfect but it certainly helps! But ye not bad try without shoes an turn ur back foot :-)

  • I've seen worse kicks. You should probably train without your shoes on, at least at first. That way you can pivot your bottom foot, which should help. Also if you rotate your hip more you'll hit it more horizontally, with better force and less risk of injury to yourself.

  • I've seen worse, just stretch a little bit more first maybe, then your kick'll be more dynamic (your muscles won't be pulling power out of it as much because the motion will be freer), also turn the kick around so you're kicking into the thing (and often you'll want to be impacting slightly down, so even more of a turn around) instead of up it. I like it when people put these things up without the front and ego, so respect to you my friend.

First off, before you kickStep with your left foot 45degrees out when you kick, turn your hip over and pivot on your left foot. Strike with your right shin. And let that kick fly !

  • I'm used to kicking horizontal (90 degrees, not good), He's used to kick around 10 degrees (not good either). You should kick between 40-50 degrees.
