That really depends on exactly what you want to do. Bonzai3d includes the most typical features that many people need -- but formZ is our "flagship" program that has more exotic tools and options. If you send us an email (to support at bonzai3d dot com), we can send you a comparison chart of which features both programs offer so that you can better decide. Also, the next version of formZ will include the modernized bonzai3d interface if that helps your decision.
Sorry, not sure what happened to your question after we posted -- we were replying to your question as to whether you should choose formZ or bonzai3d...
With our other software formZ you are able to change the deformations after the fact -- but with bonzai3d, once the Deformations are applied, they are basically fixed. (Of course, you can undo right away if you like...)
If you like the bonzai3d interface but need even more powerful modeling, our next update for formZ will be built on bonzai3d to combine all these features. (Look for this update early next year...)
I don't get very well what exactly is "... rendering as an option". Anyway, I've tryed vray with sketchup and it goes very well. Will there be the option of having vray with bonzai??, or another well-known render machine??... Thanks for answering!!!
You can render your files directly within bonzai3d if you get the RenderZone plugin -- and you can export to pretty much any other renderer via the 3d Export Options. Maxwell Render rendering will soon also be an option via an integrated plugin, but we don't have any "official" information about Vray at this time.
Have you had a chance to try out the 2.0 version yet? If you have any experience with Vray, using RenderZone should be very easy for you. :-)
Crazy man!!!, very good program!!!!... Seems you've based on Sketchup, 3ds max and Archicad to develope this one!!!... Is there compatibility with a render machine?? CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, we have put all the best modeling technologies and latest interface improvements into bonzai3d to allow users to make the best quality geometry in the least amount of time!
We have just released bonzai3d version 2 which includes photorealistic rendering as an option, and if you download the latest trial version of bonzai3d (from bonzai3d (dot) com), you can try this out as well. :)

Can you change the deformations any later time you are working on the project or are they unchangeable once applied?
