Not entirely true. The original boarders of Israel were of Jewish majority. After being attacked, they overcame and acquired more land (this is how war has worked throughout history). A Palestinian state has never existed. It was a territory of the Ottoman and British empires. in 1947, the Palestinians rejected a state of their own. They did again in the 60's and again in 2000.
