Yeah we may have different sense of humour. We know they try to make the audience laugh, but the way they do so is not very nice (like when the guy in the program says he thinks he should 'kill' Japanese people to get them know better). We make fun of people when joking, but try to be nice at the same time. Maybe this is the cultural difference.

Okay it's like this: These men are acting in violation of general fishing law and laws regarding the slaughter of whales. They are ineffectively trying to hide behind the disguise of "RESEARCH" in order to cater to the sick desired of a very minute population of sick Japanese individuals.
