  • Lee Van Cleef was a physical speciman even back then, and he displayed that he was on his way to becoming a very fine actor as well. His success as a bad guy is legendary -- especially in westerns (spagetti westerns in particular). He was probably more successful as an actor than just about anyone else I can recall who appeared on Space Patrol. He was type-cast as a bad guy early on and wow did it stick! He had a face you simply couldn't trust. Those squinty eyes & great voice didn't hurt.
