  • Did I really just see that? He lifted a coffee table over his head! Never mind the 705 bench press. The coffee table is much more impressive.

  • These days Ted has a nice business in Manchester, New Hampshire, selling fitness equipment. He's not as big as in his wrestling days, but the showroom features a helluva reminder... a bench loaded with a 705 lb. barbell.

  • So, those rubber wrestling figures were so awesome! I actually had ted arcidi's figure and I didn't even know who he was! Lol

  • @Gorso1982bg The rubber action figure probably wrestles better than Arcidi did.

  • Okay..so what indicators lead you to believe that this guy is "coked" up? Because of a little sweat on the mans brow? Whatever. The guy looks normal to me. He's more than likely just a little nervous to me on national t.v..! just saying!

  • Piper may be able to bench 300, but 500? No way.

  • dumb

  • There's no way he lifted that table over his head! I don't care if he can bench 750, nobody picks up a table like that. Nobody!

  • Ffffffuuuuuu@_@

  • Degenerate Jewmericans

  • he has no neck

  • All these guys are all coked out! LOL so hilarious! The Macho Man coke fueled interviews are great as well.

  • i hate to say it but coke is what made the wwf as great as it was i loved watching these guys

  • Ted Arcidi was a a great powerlifter, but a terrible wrestler. The guy made Mark Henry look like Ric Flair in comparison. It's no wonder he never lasted in the business

  • ok he never benched 750 pounds

  • what was up with the wwf alway useing the song from band yes i think its called owner of a lonely hart

  • I actually remember when this aired. This is the funniest goddamn thing on youtube.

  • Show him how strong you are!! Pick up that 7 pound table!!

  • Roddy Piper was the best asshole the WWF ever had.....

  • Ted Arcidi for WWE HOF 2012!

  • @kataanmonster Please don't be naive. There are ways to produce negatives test results. Depends on what kinds of steroids you take, oral or IM and when you cycle, and whether or not you have the opportunity to piss in a cup. Also, if your guys are taking HGH or a designer drug, then they'll never test positve, because there is no test that can detect them. On top of that, since you guys know when you're being tested well ahead of time, it's even easier to beat the test.

  • ...owner of a broken heart, (is much better than a), owner of a lonely heart

    : D

  • cocaine and sretiods. good times.

  • He doesn't look coked up. He just looks like a deer in the headlights. Arcidi's problem was he just didn't have the interview skills to be a real star in the WWF (where mike skills were more important than wrestling skills or strength).

  • The 1st thing we do...lol we slap Hogan lol

  • Reminds me of Ronnie from Jersey Shore.

  • Arcidi was so friggin juiced they had to hire a third shift at the deca-durabolin factory.

  • @HauptmannAmerica His kidneys bleed for him.

  • No way in hell Piper could bench 500lbs.

Goddamn, Arcidi was hopped up on coke. He could barely speak and he was too intense.

  • IMO placing the word coke in the title of a video about wrestling in the late 80's-early 90's is redundant. It's implied.

That being said, Arcidi is lit up.

How Cowboy Bob keeps a straight face through all this is beyond me.

  • If Piper was benching 500 lbs then that's freaking impressive!!

  • I had no idea that Eugene was that big when he debuted...

  • STEROIDS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ :27 "Excuse me Roddy, You handsome devil." HAHA. I would really much rather have a Rowdy Roddy Piper action figure than a Hulk Hogan one.

  • Ted Arcidi was also in World Class as a heel managed by Percy Pringle (Paul Bearer)

  • This dude ran out of breath just coming on stage.

  • piper got threw that stress piece lol

  • TED arcidi is a smart business man, passes all his drug tests in the past for steroids so i doubt hes on coke...i think roddy just aproached him like a nut so he just road with it,if you owned as much real estate and businesses and suplement companies like him you would feel wavy also

  • why are all of you dizzing piper benching 500 ? :(

I totally believe he was able to bench 500 in his prime.

  • @konamikoden i really hope ur kidding.....

  • @23jordanAIRwalker Why, Piper was a big guy, and actually really muscular when he starred in "They live". Plus all the steroids he admits he took, I think 500 would be possible.

  • @konamikoden what????/ dude ur stupid ud have to be as big as super star billy fucking graham to lift 500 lbs u retard lmfao ... yall hearing this guy...?? ovbiously this idiots never lifted or been in a gym long enough to comprehend how heavy 500 lbs is.... dumbass..... pipers a big guy????? hahahahah wow ur dumb hes one of the smallest........lol.. geez

  • @23jordanAIRwalker haha, never lifted? :) I'm a Norwegian powerlifter, my bench max is 462 lbs, and I have liftet 520 lbs with a bench-shirt... so I have been in a gym long enough to comprehend how heavy 500 lbs is....

Have you seen the John Carpenter movie "They Live"? Piper was BIG in that movie, so I totally believe he would be able to do 500 lbs. I don't think he could do MORE than 500, but 475-500 yes.

  • @konamikoden a norwegian power lifter.???? o.k listen sven there no way in hell piper cud lift that... thats wat powerlifters lift.... not small wrestlers.... he was his biggest ever in 1986...... no way....

  • @23jordanAIRwalker Only power lifters? There are 11 officers in my department that bench over 500 lbs.

  • @Kataanmonster Sounds like the city should be drug testing your department

  • @RJL1981 They do every year right before our physical assessment. Trust me, we would lose our career, pension and benefits if we used anything like that. I'm not in the 500 club and probably won't ever be but the guys I know that are, do not take steroids.

  • @Kataanmonster Now tell me about the santa...

  • @pedradosapato yawn

  • @Kataanmonster are you sure they didn't use benchpress shirts ?

  • @konamikoden dude you are a fucking retard LOL

  • @MrMrOlympia Look at this skinny 23 year old guy bench 440lbs EASY, with no bench-shirt and also drug-free (regularly drug tested by IPF) watch?v=pzyYBlxC3uo

Is it so impossible that Roddy Piper who was heavier, older, more muscular and using steroids could lift 500lbs ?

  • @konamikoden yes....it is impossible he didnt lift it TRUST ME

  • @BluntSmokeBluntSmoke How about "safe to assume?'

  • owner of a lonely heart

  • BITCH TITS

  • He wanted the table to do lines on.

  • "Ace, spot me will ya?"

Bob Orton Jr.'s probably thinkin': "Yeah sure you schmuck, I'm gonna stand there and spot you as you lift a cardboard table over your head like the coke fiend you are."

  • my goddddd, how ever did he lift that 10 lb table

    ????

  • ted arcidi legitmately bench pressed 705.5 lbs, WITHOUT a bench shirt. that was before bench shirts even existed..

  • Ted is from Manchester,NH, and one of the most softspoken gentlemen you could ask to meet... He held the world bench press record at 718 lbs. and 'warmed up' with 400 lbs...

  • Dude gets winded talking

  • doesnt matter how legit a powerlifter he was, you can tell instantly from someones physique if they are heavily into steroids, the way certain muscles are exaggerated such as the traps. I'm sure Ted Arcidi was one strong mofo but he was clearly on roids around this time

  • @martinmerrywinkle You need to do more shrugs fag

  • this should of been a heel stable lol

  • piper rules

  • Must be that new peruvian blue

  • A man who bench pressed 705 lbs and acted like a mark is a dangerous combination to whoever had to work with him in the ring.

  • Comment removed

  • arxidia :]

  • heel arcidi?

  • cocaine and steroids rule!!!!!!!lol

  • @TheRattyrattyrat

    Arcidi? Nope.

Nobody ever broke a world strength-record by taking steroids; he said "if steroids worked then there would be a dozen guys like me."

  • Yeah, Piper bench-presses 500-- BEERS.

Piper never benched no fricking 500 lbs.

  • @postalmeter cocaine's a helluva drug

  • ted arcidi was SO hot

  • @TheRattyrattyrat Noooo!

  • Cocaine, its America's cup of coffee!

  • Cocaine is a hell of a drug.

  • BOTH these dudes are gaked out

  • I think this is the thing that Piper was talking about in his tell all interview when he talks about the wrestling business and all the people dying. (Around when Benoit died)

He says something along the lines as ''You go out there all coked up and then it's like HEY HOW ARE YA? WHAT DO YA WANNA DO?'' it's a great interview, very moving

  • @Dumblewh0re

Except Arcidi is alive and well

  • @IGiveAndYouTake yeah Arcidi is but I mean Piper gave an interview talking about all the people who died (Benoit, Geurrero, Mr. Perfect, Sherri, ect) never said Arcidi was dead

  • Roddy defeinteily carries him and basically leads him through the interview.

  • He's in that movie The Fighter.

  • @MoulonStooge Ted Arcidi is in The Fighter??

  • @slickdiddyric Yeah, he plays Lou Gold.

  • wow Ted Arcidi looks incredible here!

  • He looks like Lyle Alzado

  • Ted is not a wrestler/actor he is one of the greatest benpresser's of all time. On a different not... thad had to be some GREAT cocaine!

  • @sjmmrcrdd easy homes, i got too much knowledge when it comes to this wrestling thing. and you cant tell me they dont favor each other.

  • @MrDumnyce yeah they do....i was scripted but they also had their adenda too man....i dont doubt your knowledge

  • wasnt he the wrestler hercules?

  • @MrDumnyce Nope, Ted Arcidi and Hercules were two different guys.

  • @acc2001 hercules hernandez is dead and arcidi is still alive

  • @MrDumnyce no man two diff ....you are young so do the research if you want to know

  • love the shirt baby!!! HAWAII <3

  • Bob Orton is alot like Randy here he just walks and doesnt care haha

  • stay away from drugs kids.....

  • Why do they play that godaweful rendition of Owner of a Lonely Heart by Yes at the end?

  • @mrtrin haha i thought the same thing, and then thought, kind of ironic...

  • @mrtrin ive always wondered why they played that....

  • Wow! Impressive! That table must weigh at least 8 pounds!

  • Roddy sounds a little out of it himself.

  • is that blood coming from Ted's right nostril?

  • The wild wild west days of the WWF..good times..

  • he needed a visit to memphis after stampede and then he could have learned a little about cutting promos and how to talk. He went into the big top to early and never made it.

  • What a Mo!

  • @yimpka wut u mean by dat? (tis is Ted.) I'l benchpress ur head off.

  • LOL HE LOOKS SCARED

  • that is a good act is all...

  • the where the best days of wrestling

  • 90's wrestling was just like 80's wrestling without the jaded cokeheads

  • Why are they acting all gay and stuff?

  • The best bit starts 1:01 -

    Arcidi "huzzhhzuhhh!"

    Piper "What did you say?"

Arcidi "Uhhhwuzzzz! Whadose humanoids at thehhh?"

  • @Suriel1981 haha yeah then before he picks up the table "No humans got this! No way brother!" :)

  • I could of lifted that table with my boner

  • @hellbadger84 you have a boner from watching this? Whatever cranks your tractor.

  • Piper's the cokehead here!!!

  • TED ARCIDI WAS A BADAZZ

  • Piper's Pit is almost like the Heartbreak Hotel.

  • wtf...owner of a lonely heart...thats what the song they picked for the end...lol

  • Arcidi never got over no matter what WWF tried with him. His skills were so weak because he was rushed into the business in the same way today's Divas are - learn a finisher and a couple of set-up moves and how to take a bump and then they're in the ring for real. WWF wanted him because he was a legit powerhouse and didn't care that he was just about useless in the ring. Not hating; just stating facts. watch his old matches and you'll see what I mean.

  • @elc1960 I had his action figure when I was a kid and it was my favorite becuse he looked so big and strong.

  • Haha!I wonder if hes stil living.Oh well!I know piper did a bunch coke back then and hes still living, but piper never had to do drugs to get all hyper.

  • They don't have heels like piper anymore. This is classic stuff. !

  • @DoktorSick So true, Piper was a classic, he was the anti hero and had a following all of his own for being the heel and he played it so well.

  • Cocaine is a helluva drug...

  • GODDAMN!! Piper and Arcidi are on coke. You guys are right.

  • wow that table was made of particule board so it came in at about 15 pounds IMPRESSIVE

  • Lol at that ending. WTF

  • Hey at :46 when Piper gave Arcidi that man hug shake, I beleive Piper should be given credit for inventing what all guys do now to grett each other which is the man shake/hug, tell me i am wrong

  • I remember that a lot of the WWF wrestlers telling kids to stay away from drugs. Jake Roberts had a poster that said "Just say no to drugs." :-\

  • Arcidi had no acting skills whatsoever, even by PRO WRESTLING STANDARDS 0_o

  • Haha, Piper did a ton of coke then. Haha he rocks

  • Orton Jr. looks like the only one from this planet

  • . Of course even with a bag of Bolivian marching powder in him Arcidi still moved slower than a Tectonic Plate

  • They are BOTH blazing on coke.

  • @HugoRune1976 And I wouldn't have it any other way!!

  • Was that guy mentally ill?

  • Take a look at the receding hairline on that man!!

  • the good old days

  • coke + roids= trouble!.....this guy needs to try decaf as well i think.

  • My guess was they were both coked up. Piper was no stranger to the nose candy,no disrespect ot Piper who was one of my all time favorites.

  • @AssholeFromCanada

Lol I agree man, both great athletes...but both clearly coked off their tits..!

  • elstiko, u da man! Im glad someone iz educated on the 80s like me. This is classic. this is wrestling at its best. I dont even watch it now.

  • I think Ted Arcidi had his own action figure too didn't he?

  • A lot of men have a 500 lb bench goal and reached it by the time they were 30. I believe Roddy did that in his prime or at least 400something and beefed it up a little. More than 315. He has the pecs/solid mass. Not tall and 235 is great for powerlifting. He has the foundation. I seen APF lifters 185lbs, bench over 500 in a meet with a bench shirt, belt, and wraps, so please know what you are talking about!

  • ...I thought Kevin Sullivan benched or at least squatted a lot. ...and was one of the strongest strongmen in wrestling.

  • Either he was coked up or just really, really nervous. Or maybe he was coked up because he was really nervous??

  • @EEGAH316 maybe he was really nervous because he was coked up??

  • oh my god hes fucked!

  • it looks dumb cause he lifts up a 22 pound table

  • 0;47 LMAO The Hug was funny.

  • Juice and coke. Bad combo.

  • When you make Roddy Piper look like a Straight-Edger in comparison - well, you know you got problems!

  • Owner of a Lonely Heart in the background.

  • Give that man a dub!

  • Damn, he's like an American version of Iron Sheikie Baby!

  • cocaine and steroids will rot your brain as this guy proves

  • Snort another line Ted!

  • Piper was priceless..so much better than this scripted shit they put out now.

  • roddy piper cannot bench 500

  • @535635monsters Well, not anymore.

  • @deutschschoen he couldn't even bench 500 in his prime... 315 max

  • @535635monsters Who couldn't? Arcidi benched 705Lbs. in 1985 and that was the World Record for 8 years.

  • @HAFA74 i was talking about piper... ted arcidi was a beast

  • @535635monsters right on

  • @535635monsters You're kidding right? I certainly was joking. No one could possibly care what this Wrestler/Actor benched 25 years ago. I hope no one cares. Danke.
