I dont understand why Angry Birds is so much more popular and gets so much more attention than the really well made games that deserve it way more like Batman Arkham Asylum for example.

@CyberLance26 Because games like Angry Birds are more accessible to people, and are a great way to kill time for 10 min while you are on a bus, or waiting in a doctor's office. so they have more appeal to the general masses. Quality and popularity do not go hand in hand.

@tassadar7945 I suppose its that games like Angry birds are really simple and easy to learn how to play and most people are way to lazy to learn how to play the much better but more complicated games available.

@CyberLance26 being complicated or simple does not make a game better or worse. Are you going to say that Tetris, one of the simplest games in design is bad? it still takes skill and intelligence to play, as does Angry Birds. also Angry birds teaches basic physics to children, ballistic trajectories, how objects with more mass can break through less dense objects with enough force, how velocity affects force at point of impact. Its not perfect, but it definitely teaches.

@tassadar7945 Sorry but in my opinion games like Angry Birds and Tetris for example are garbage compared to extremely well made and great games like Batman Arkham City, Elders Scrolls Oblivion, Alice Madness Returns, Fallout 3, Red dead Redemption, Bioshock and other well made games.

Yes games like Angry Birds and Tetris can be fun sometimes but they dont offer even close as much varied and well made entertainment and as many hours of fun as the bigger games.

@tassadar7945 Also it feels really unfair to me that the really well made games that the developers put ALOT of work and effort into gets no attention and recognition from the mainstream audience at all but games like Angry Birds gets really famous among people that usually dont care about games.

Only the hardcore gamers care about the games that deserve the attention Angry Birds is getting.

Or some of us just don't have the time to play games. I play my son's I pod on the 7 minute trip to work in the morning. Games like Tetris or Angry birds are perfect for a quick car ride. No complex rules, complex controllers or stuff like that. He will spend quite a few hours playing Assasin's Creed, Neverwinter nights, Call of duty, Batman, etc... Different people have different skill levels or time constraints. That's life.

@katiecakes10000 Its still obvious that the kind of games i mentioned deserve the attention games like Angry Birds and Tetris are getting WAY more.

Those games are extremely well made with tons of content and stuff you can do with big worlds you can explore and it took many years to create those games so of course they deserve to get famous and well known among the mainstream audience much more than really simple and low budget games like Angry Birds that did not take even close as long to make

@katiecakes10000 Games like Batman arkham City for example is pretty much exactly like controlling the main character in a movie so thats the kind of games that proves that games are superior to the other forms of entertainment.

Games like Skyrim for example is the only way you can explore a huge fantasy world in real life instead of simply reading a book or watch a movie about somebody else that does it.

Many people dont have time to watch long 2-3 hour movies but its still the long and well made movies like Lord of The Rings, Star Wars, Matrix and others that gets all the attention and gets famous among people.

Reading a book takes way longer than watching movies are play a game.

Finishing a book can take many days.

I have meet many people that say they dont have time for video games and then they waste hours watching a long movie, watch TV or reads a book.

If you have time for those things you have time for games.

Its not like your forced to play a game way longer than the time you spend with movies, TV or books.

@katiecakes10000 Most adults have time to watch TV, movies, look at the internet or read a book for a long time when they get home after work so like i said if you have time in your life for those kinds of things after your done with work and other important stuff you have time for video games.

@katiecakes10000 Most of the people i know that work spend the rest of the day relaxing and watching TV or looking at the Internet the rest of the day after work.

Sure they got some important stuff they must do like laundry and washing the dishes for example but that does not take very long and its not something you must do everyday.

My parents for example gets home 3 and they spend most of the day relaxing by the TV.

I started working recently and i still got plenty of time for games.

Its probably just something people like to say instead of admiting that they are to lazy or dont have the patience to learn how the bigger and more complicated games work.

@katiecakes10000 The kind of really well made and awesome games that non gamers should buy that i mentioned before for example are really easy and simple for gamers but to non gamers they are extremely difficult and the non gamers cant even handle doing the easiest and simplest things like controlling the camera or jumping over a hole.

So yea non gamers probably avoids the more complicated games because they suck at them and dont wanna try to get better at them.

@CyberLance26 Like I said below, different people have different skill levels or time constraints. I have free time in my life, but it is in short bits and pieces. A book is portable and can be read in a taxi or car or even in the lunch room at work. A gaming system for the complex games you like aren't. Some of us don't have the time to watch 2-3 hour movies, or game complex games, or read for 3 hours straight. It's nice that you do, but be realistic.

If you have time to waste chatting on sites like that for a very long time everyday you have time for video games.
