She has such a sweet singing voice in all that does. I'm sure glad she started doing songs in English from her original French. She won our hearts when she turned down a French award. Can't remember just what it was, but something like leaving her roots, and going English. The award show was on TV some years ago. She never abandon her French roots, only enhanced them.

A very good singer no doubt, but she has turned this into a jovial song. It was never meant to be a jovial/light hearted song. Prefer Lennon's original, it's much more sombre and self-awakening, consistent with the lyrics of the song.
