  • oh god love that song! wish i had seen these guys when i was there D:

  • playing disney song at disneyland?? IT"S GENIUS!!!!!

  • what key is bass sax in?

  • @saxkid305 B flat

  • @ChrisHauger thank you

  • @saxkid305 no problem

  • Americans get most of their serious news in short sound bites, don't blame us blame our news media.

  • From soprano to bass, this is a perfect arrangement of saxophones.

  • any way I could find the music for any of the toon town tuners' stuff?

  • Its a curved soprano-- I own one. They are fun to play :D The best part is that you can pretty much sit anywhere and play it, cause there is nothing hanging down past the waste.

  • Does DIz still have this ensemble???? in 2010??? i luv it!

  • There is a Yoshi sound at the very end ^^

  • PERFECT!!!

    The ingredients:

    ~Good band - Check

    ~Good song - Check

All that equals into a perfect song!

  • this is amazing! :O does any one know how I can get in contact with them or if there is any possibility to get the sheet music? :D

  • I have a curved soprano sax - hint! hint!

  • I've got a curved soprano - hint! hint!

  • That's not a bass sax. is it?

  • @Nightslash091 Yes. In order, Right to left, Soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, bass.

  • hahahahaha anyone else notice the guy boppin aroun at 0:40?

  • Where?

  • YES! LOL!

  • I wish these guys we there when our marching band went on band trip. These guys are AMAZING!!

  • I really want a curved soprano sax!!!!

  • It is actually not a soprano, it is an altissimo sax. It sounds an octave above the alto and a fourth above the soprano!

  • actually there's been some debate on whether it's a curved orsi sopranino (the sax you're referring to) or a curved soprano...all these vids have it, i personally think it's a soprano sax, cause it does go down quite a bit into the alto range there

  • its a soprano

  • definitely and soprano.

  • @drumstyx6464

there is no doubt its a curved sop. It looks a little bit like my Yani.

There's no way it's an Orsi...those things are like 12" high

  • @drumstyx6464 I've never seen a soprano sax look like that but I can agree on that one. In one of the other videos I saw of them, they said at the end it was a soprano.

  • @koolkat104 Since writing this comment a year ago, I've learned a LOT more about saxophones (as I should, being in college for it!). You'd be surprised how well liked curved sopranos are; certainly my soprano of choice!

  • @drumstyx6464 Really? That's awesome! Now I want one! What college are you at?

  • @koolkat104 I'm at Mohawk College in Ontario, I'm sure you've heard of Humber College's music program--ours is quite similar. Are you looking to go into music?

  • @drumstyx6464 Yes, actually I am.

  • @drumstyx6464 Its a soprano. Ive been there and held it. It is a soprano

  • no its not theres another video when the bass introduces the different members and he says on soprano

  • Sorry bud but you're wrong. Its a soprano. An "altissimo" sax doesnt exist, skipper

  • Thank you :-D I didn't wanna be "that guy"!

    Sop Curvies FTW!

  • HA HA HA you got that completly wrong, there is no such thing as an "altissimo sax". but a saxophone can play altissimo.

  • @tkdkid100 I have one!!! It's so fricken cute! :D

  • BEASTIN!!!

  • They were even better when I got to see them in person! I can't imagine having to wear those outfits in the hot sun though...

  • OMG now i wanna watch the movie

    Amazing!

  • GREAT!!!

  • Who need NOTES!?

I can give you a main part of this song!

  • Me please!

  • Oh, I LOVE the tone on soprano. Very bright...

  • yeah and hes very well in tune, even with that curly soprano.

  • theinvis, curved sopranos are actually easier to keep in tune =].. At least my Yani is.. I find curved sopranos are definately better for classical playing, and straight/bent are better for jazz. But that's just my opinion.

  • yeh they hav a youtube page with 2 tunes up:

u tube (dot) com (/) saxassault

    :)

  • yeah i learned that shortly after posting ~.~ i apologize. but i like the curled tone better for jazz, personally.

  • It's all good. It still differs from player to player =]

  • The newer Yani curved soprano's are VERY in tune in comparison to older models (pre 1960ish). I'm about to get a cheapie chinese curved soprano, and i'm hoping for it to be remotely in tune, but soprano's are very unforgiving.

  • Yeah. Soprano isn't easy but very awesome and versitile. It'll be worth it :D

  • RESPECT!!!!!

  • The guy on the far left, THAT'S ONE GIANT SAXOPHONE!!!

  • thats called a bass sax

  • A full sax. ensemble (which I DREAM to play in) would be a contrabass, bass, bari, tenor, alto, saprano, and sapranino. A septet (I think) They really need to get the other 2. Then they'd be beyong the superb they are now!..... TENOR AND SOPRANO FOR THE WIN!

  • What about the soprillo, Mezzo-soprano and C Melody saxophones?

  • Contrabass and Sopranino are pretty pointless... I don't think it would improve the group at all, infact, I think it would unbalance it.

  • ya tenors!

  • ...no tubax?

  • u heard of a group called saxassault?

theyve got a similar line up, but have a rhythm section too!

    its good stuff

  • Hmm! If there are any vids, would you mind telling me? =]

  • OMGG these guys are sooo cooooolll!!!

id love to play in a quintet like this!!!

  • how could you just walk by this?

  • 00:40 SOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!!!

  • lmao that man in the green shirt wif his head lmao

  • woww thats awesome, they rock!

  • yeah what time do they come out?

  • i play the saxopphon they are GOOD" i was wondering what time do they come out ?

  • wow! a full size saxophone quintet! bass, bari, tenor, alto, soprano - what balance!
