  • "Roman Catholicism" is an incorrect term that Protestants should discard if they are to speak accurately about the one Church Christ founded.

It is properly called the Catholic Church, meaning the Universal Church on earth. "Roman" Catholic is a term invented in the early 19th century by William Palmer, an Anglican theologian who attempted to promote his so-called "branch theory" to the Christian world.

Both the Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Churches have rejected this failed theory.

  • Where can I hear the full debate???

  • Roman Catholicism seems to have adopted some of the very worst ideas of liberal Protestantism: Darwinism, Higher Criticism, gender-neutral language, and the fantasy/non-historical ideas of Westcott and Hort. This has complicated traditional divisions between Catholics and Protestants. As for free will, this is itself a gift of God, to the extent that it is not in bondage to sin, so faith and works does not count as partial works-righteousness. Real faith is inseparable from good works.

  • It is Apostolic Succession that divides besides doctrine and papal authority. Catholics have Apostolic Succession while the Protestants merely... Do not... And I'm not saying this to be arrogant as it may seem but if you'd go study "Apostolic Succession" you'll see where I'm coming from. This is one of the key factors that lead to my conversion to Catholicism.

  • Isn't it more the authority of the papal heirarchy and church tradition that really divides?

  • quite nice, thank you for this video.

    What is freedom?

  • ...I'll make it easy. The church that kills in the name of God is the wrong one. Between 1220 and 1798 the RCC, at the direction of the Popes murdered about 50 million because they refused to bow to them and thier crazy theology.

...600 hundred years of brutality, with thier ignorant priests designing instruments of torture.

  • @vachief "Heretics are not to be disputed with, but to be condemned unheard, and whilst they perish by fire, the faithful ought to pursue the evil to its source, and bathe their heads in the blood of the Catholic bishops, and of the Pope, who is the devil in disguise." ~ Martin Luther the founder of Protestantism...say can you find anything like this from the Pope or is it your last post all propaganda?

  • @gtepp031387 ....Martin Luther never killed anyone. Are you going to deny that the Popes ordered the inquisitors to torture and murder, not to mention the confiscation of property? You could fill a tractor trailer with the stuff written about those 600 years.

....Even Catholic scholars won't deny that.

  • @vachief Martin Luther killed thousands..lol..he ordered Whole churches burnt down with people in them, he started the agression..lol..

The Pope never ordere people killed in the inquisition, have you ever read the letter of the Pope on the inquisition it actually orders that no one be seriously hurt during this time...man you are quiet confused, no wonder following the Spirit of the Antichrist.

  • @vachief "Their synagogues ... should be set on fire."

"Their homes should be broken down and destroyed. They ought to be put under one roof or in a stable, like Gypsies, in order that they may realize that they ... are ... but miserable captives."

"They should be deprived of their prayerbooks and Talmuds."

"Their rabbis must be forbidden under threat of death to teach any more." ~Martin Luther "On the Jews and Their Lies",1543

  • @vachief "If I had to baptise a Jew, I would take him to the bridge of the Elbe, hang a stone around his neck and push him over with the words 'I baptise thee in the name of Abraham'." ~ Martin luther

  • @vachief "If the peasants are in open rebellion, then they are outside the law of God. Therefore let all who are able slash, strike down, and kill (those who rebel) openly and secretly, remembering that there can be nothing more venomous, harmful, or devilish than a rebel. It is exactly like killing a mad dog." ~ Martin Luther...and you follow this guy what a nut.

  • @gtepp031387 ...Yeah.....Luther said some pretty rough stuff....did he ever kill anyone? Nope.

....The RCC killed about 50 million in those 600 years. Those are the guys....you follow, those that kill in the name of God.

  • @vachief Luther killed thousands...Give me one letter from the Pope that says to kill Prots...I will be waiting surley you have one single order right I mean all the popes writtings are very well documented surley you have one...or is this all proaganda without a source?

  • @gtepp031387 .....I'm not your personal secretary Pal, either look it up or forget about it.

  • @vachief I have looked it up and guess what there are ZERO all prot propaganda thats all it is...in fact you killed us alot more then we killed you, in fact in England it is still a law on the books, though not inforced anymore, that being a Catholic is punishable by death...say how many Indians did you prots kill under the guise that they where "red devils"?...How many blacks did you guys kill when one of your pastors started the KKK?...lol..you Prots have no clue of actual history do you???

  • @gtepp031387 ...Ok....Friar....lol John Huss...burned alive at the stake, July 6, 1415 for refuseing to recant his belief in Wycliffes theology to the Catholic Bishops in the city of Constance. After he was dead they cut up his head in pieces, and burned him again, then threw his ashes in the Rhone River. Ever read a book , buddy? lol

  • @vachief ...This was done by a local council not approved of by the Pope, in fact John huss tryed to bring his case before the Pope, and even had some support from the Pope, but unfortunatley the Pope at the time died, and Johnhuss was left to the authority of a loical council...this was NEVER appoved of by a Pope...and John Huss said before he died about Wycliff and other heretics "I did not preach, affirm or defend them, though they say that I did."

  • @vachief Again letter from the Pope that said to kill Prots..still waiting...as I have shown there where people in both churches that killed others, the difference is my church leader never approved of this type of thing, well your church leader and founder not only approved but took action in such things.

  • @gtepp031387 ...Ok....here is the deal, if I can prove that the Popes ordered the inquistion that resulted in millions of deaths. Will you renounce the Papacy and turn your back on Rome? Nobody works for free....buddy. Ever wonder why the Roman Papacy was identified as the first beast of Rev. 13?

  • @vachief The Pope ordered that no one be seriously hurt in the inquisition..do you want the quote and the source buddy?...Martin Luther started a full scale war know as the Peasants' War in 1524...a full scale war buddy get that, thousands tens of thousands died...your millions of dead are really ridiculus number...but the Catholics who died in the Protestant invasion of the phillippines is estimated at aleast 1 million and some scholars estemate 4 million

  • @gtepp031387 ....If the Popes did not order the inquistion.....then why did the Catholic clergy construct all those torture devises? for fun? Ever consider that maybe the Popes were liars and were never representives of Christianity?

...The Inquisition lasted 600 years, what biblical reason is there for an Inquisition? Do you think Jesus taught religion by force?...or maybe the Popes just couldn't read.

  • @vachief The Catholic church was part of the inquisitions no doubt, but there where state handled, espeacially the Spanish inquisition(and the Pope did ask that no one be seriously hurt during this process)...Your really giving the Pope more civil authority then he had at that time, after Rome was sacked the Popes had a good deal of civil authority, but by the time of the inquistion they did not have this type of authority, King Henry is a good example.

  • @vachief Christ did authorize force yes,in fact he said to kill all that did not accept him, but such scripture is to be interprited by the church( as we are also to LOVE our enemies and have patcients and hope for conversion), not by little cults such as Protestatism

  • @vachief Every consider you faith was made in the mind of Martin luther and no one before the 1500s had heard of, practised, nor believed in Protestatism?...Ever consider your in a cult that broke away from the one true church established by Jesus Christ?...Ever consider that Protestatism did not exist at the time of Christ and is a man made faith?

  • @vachief Every consider why your "bible" is missing 7 books from the apostolic scripture of the Septuagint? Ever consider why you teach word for word contridictions of the holy word such as faith alone, when the bible says "not by faith alone"? Ever consider that the church of the living GOD is the pillar and foundation of the truth?

  • @gtepp031387 ...We reject the Septuigent, it was written by well known gnostics in Alexandria, which was the center of Gnosticism. The KJV follows the northern stream of texts that originated out of places like Antioch and other cities were the Apostles started the church....15 years before the church at Rome.

  • @vachief The Septuagint was the version the apostles used, they quoted from it nearly 300 times...the only writter that quotes from Hebrew text is Matthew...lol..gnostics where not in existance in 300 B.C. when the Septuagint was formed..The KJV spliced together hundreds of manuscriptes from Catholics(either way you got your "bible" from us), accepting what they wished and removing what they did not, at least get the 1611 edition that is at least a full "bible" though it is horribly translated.

  • @gtepp031387 Nope. The Septuigent was written long after, in the time of Origen, look him up and read about him. He concocted this story of 70 Jewish scholars that supposedly translated the Hebrew into Greek. The whole reason for the ridiculous story.....and it's fabricated B.C. date, was so they could say that Jesus read it. lol If you want to sell gnosticism....ya gotta cook the books. Spend 2 weeks reading everything you can about Origen and his master Clemant. Gnostic Philosophy, no doubt.

  • @vachief "Nope. The Septuigent was written long after, in the time of Origen, look him up and read about him."...lol..

Say Origen was born in 185 and St Irenaeus writes about the Septuagint in 180 A.D....so tell me how Origen concoted it again before he was even born...lol..you need to stop talking and do some study...what a cult Protestatism is.

  • @gtepp031387 ...If you can find a referance to the Septuigent prior to Origen and Clement.....I shall eat my shoes. lol

  • @vachief better get eating becaues I just did bud...

  • @gtepp031387 ..No you didn't.....I've already been down his road. lol Bon Appetit.

  • @vachief The Talmud is not sufficent as a before Origen quote???

  • @vachief What more could you want then the Talmud...it is before Origen, and to top it off it is a Jewish none bias source.....get eating dude...lol..you don't have to but how about in the futer you do some study before you make accusations

  • @gtepp031387 ....The Talmud.....I'm assuming you speak of the Jerusalem Talmud.....it was written post - crucifiction... buddy. Ask a Jew....if you don't believe me.

  • @vachief The Talmud was written in the mid second century of course it is post crusifixion, but it was 50 years before Origen, and a none bias source...what is your point..you claimed Origen originated the Septuagint you have been proved to be wrong..care to eat that shoe now?

  • @gtepp031387 ...Yeah....it sort of lines up with Origen....don't ya think? A couple of hours ago you thought the Septuigent was written 250 B.C.......are you starting to get the picture? lol Jesus never read the Septuigent, because it was written by Origen and his Gnostic buddy Clement.

  • @vachief It was put togeher in the rieghn of King Ptolemy(300 B.C.) ...You said it was put together by Origen, I have proved beyond a doubt that was lie...lol..how was it written by origen and Clement if it was spoken of before they where born?...man you have issues.

  • @vachief Not to mention Aristeas mentions the Septuagint in a letter that is dated to 200 B.C...a letter quoted by Josephus in the late 1st century..even while the letter is questioned as authentic by some circles on the ground of it's author being a librarian of Alexandria, there is no question that it was written before Christ...shall I quote from this letter?..or will you retract your fallacy?

  • @gtepp031387* sry questioned on the grounds of the author mentioning the wrong librarian of Alexander(according to other non verified sorces)...again though this letter is dated before Christ and thoughly goes over the Septuagint..so eating thoes shoes yet?

  • @gtepp031387 ....Dated by whom? Another Gnostic? lol

  • @vachief was Josephus a gnostic???..He quotes nearly half of the whole letter in the first century..lol...the only way to be Protestant is to completley be devoid of reason and history.

  • @gtepp031387 ...You mean concocted history? We'll take the Hebrew OT ....but thanks for asking. lol Do some research on Alexandria and the crazy people that lived there.

  • @vachief Hebrew OT you mean the text that came from Jamnia, that even the rejected and to this day the Jews in Africa and Ethiopea hold to the holy Septuagint...by the way you said if I gave you something that refferences the Septuagint before Origen you would eat your shoe..well how about it..are you going to keep your word...lol...Im done with your sillyness.

  • @gtepp031387 ...No...I'm talking about the texts that originated from were the Aposles taught....like Antioch. They never went to Alexandria were you people get your stuff from.

  • @vachief Intresting please give me the MS and date of the Antioch MS thst your so found of?

  • @gtepp031387 *fond of not found of..lol..

  • @gtepp031387 ...It's called the KJV. That is were it came from...buddy. If you want to believe that the Egyptians know better....that is your call.

  • @vachief Please give me the MS that the KJV translated from...lol...we both know it spliced together MS's from the 5-12 century..lol..and you try to claim the Septuagint is of late origen, the KJV came to being in 1611?...did you know one of the top supporters of the KJV in it's infancy went through the 80 of the MS's used and said he noted over 30,000 variations..lol..cut and slice...lol...the KJV is copletely and utterly heretical...there is one bible(from the Latin root biblia)

  • @gtepp031387 ....You make a great Papist...bro. The rest of us refuse to kneel before your Pope. Get used to it, cuz it ain't goin' away. lol

  • @vachief Thats fine eventually Satan you will go away...for now he is used to test my faith and refine me into gold. : )...say care to give me that Antioch Ms that your so fond of ?

  • @gtepp031387 ..Your church has a legasy..... killing in the name of God, pedophilia, homosexuality...Egptian theology,....no wonder Luther turned his back on Rome. Filth. We don't want anything to do with it.

  • @vachief My church has bad people in it just as your church does...it has people that have killed in the name of GOD just as your church does...it has pedophilia just as your church does...it has homosexuality just as your church does...May GOD have mercy on your hipocritisy...The difference is my church was established by GOD..and has communion with the Saints throughout all ages...."Wherever Jesus is there is the Catholic church" ~ St Ignatius of Antioch 80-107 A.D.

  • @gtepp031387 ..Yeah.....the catholic part is fine, it's the Roman part that caused the church in that city to sink. Simon (peter) Magus hi-jacked the church at Rome not long after Paul left. Peter the Apostle never traveled to Rome, they made it up in an effort to give it credibility. If you go to the Vatican, it is full of occult/masonic symbology. That is why it was identified as the 1st beast of Rev. 13 as well as anti-christ, 500 years ago. The synagogue of Satan.

  • @vachief Sure bud... and unicorns where made in Atlatis in the land before time..lol...Peter never went to Rome..lol..I guess that is why ever writter who mentions the death of Peter for the first 15 centuries mentions he was martyed in Rome...what accult brainwashing you Prots are in to

  • @gtepp031387 ....Check your Holy Bible....Peters work had to with the Jews....then he went to Babylon, Not Rome buddy. Google this....Simon Magus in Rome. Read about him in the book of Acts.

  • @vachief Lol Peter clearly preaches to gentiles in several places, he sent first to the Jews and then to the gentiles, just as all the apostles where...for what does it mean when is said ""I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." Matthew 15:24...does it mean that Christ did not come for Gentiles too?...NO but it is stressing that Jesus was sent first to the Jews then to the gentiles..The evidence that Peter went to rome is so utterly conclusive it is pointless arguing about it.

  • @vachief I am very aware that Simon Magus was in Rome, where a statue was errected of him, this is the very reason Peter(the apostle) went to Rome.

  • @gtepp031387 ...That is impossible. The Holy Bible tells us exactly were Peter the Apostle traveled, check the dates. You can't be in 2 places at the same time. The only people who insist the Apostle Peter went to Rome.....are all Gnostics.

  • @vachief "Then he departed and went to another place" Acts 12:17...intresting that all christians who commetn on this passage in the ealy church state it was Rome...

  • @gtepp031387 ..Did you watch that video I sent you? All the documentation, is there.

  • @vachief Furthmore Ignatius writes to the church of Rome around 100 and states that hhe would not issue commands to this church as Peter and Paul had once done...this comment only makes sence if Peter had been in Rome, as we do not have any evidence of him writting to the church of Rome.

  • @gtepp031387 ....You obviously have 2 choices. Either the Holy Bible is lieing.....or Ignatius. One or the other.

  • @vachief 21st century videos do not concern me much, if you do not have a sorce of from the first second or third century(which I know you do not, having studied the evidence of these centuires on this matter)your just waisting my time.

  • @gtepp031387 ...The cat....is out of the bag, but suit yourself.

  • @vachief This one bible was cannonized in 393 A.D. by church council not by a King named James..lol..did you know the original KJV(1611) has all 7 books later removed by protestants...even Martin Luther did not believe in the faith that you ahev since made on top of the one he made..lol...silly Prots.

  • @vachief "It happened to Ptolemy the king that he took seventy-two elders from Jerusalem, and placed them in seventy-two separate chambers, and did not inform them to what purpose he had brought them. And afterward he entered to each of them, and said to them: Translate me the Torah of Moses from memory."~ The Jewish Talmud(mid second century)...so i guess they where listening to Origen too huh?..lol..do some study.

  • @vachief "Sin cannot tear you away from him [Christ] even though you commit adultery a hundred times a day and commit as many murders."

[Martin Luther, letter to Melanchton, Aug. 1, 1521]

I believe the bible says these people will not inheri eternal life

  • @lulutheladybug Mary was one of the most loyal, if not the most loyal saints. Do you think there are some saints today that actually models their lives after her.. Her body rose to heaven I'm pretty sure IS NOT biblical (I'll look it up..I think Enoch, and Elijah were the only two saints that were ..the bible says that one was taken up, the other "Walked with God"..so the Mary thing is a catholic doctrine, not a biblical one..hope this answers..Smiles!

  • @Gtepp031387 is right, let us stop attacking one another because we are in different Christian groups.I attend mass at the Catholic Church and attend too praise and worship services in other born-again Christian denominations.By doing it,you gain wider understanding about differences in belief and practices. But the common denominator is,we are united for Christ. As Christians,we are all baptized to preach Christ.Let us all be united, preach Christ for the salvation of all mankind.

  • @amessenger4Christ Yes, let's those who know TRUTH preach TRUTH! 1.Mary was a perpetual virgin..UNTRUTH! 2.MAry has a mysterious involvement in our salvaltion, 0r walk with God..UNTRUTH (She was a sinner..the same as we are today) 3.The pope is infallible...UNTRUTH (ST. Peter WAS NOT the first pope..UNTRUTH..big UNTRUTH!..IF it wasn't for somebody preaching THE TRUTH, I would of never seen these. My eyes are OPENED now to see spiritual things, not through some work, but by free GRACE..++

  • "And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

But Jesus said: Do not forbid him. For there is no man that doth a miracle in my name, and can soon speak ill of me." Mark 9:38-39 let us stop attacking one another becaues we are in different Christian groups

  • It's more stuff like the "New South." How RC infiltration of things s/a Supreme Court causes misuse of law for their greed. Eg: made Tobacco most EVIL drug (while pandering ritalin, etc.), which WIPED OUT 450,000 farmers, then the catholics buy the land up cheap (that they used "law" to devalue), and ethnically cleanse the tobacco areas (TN, VA, NC), their new "crusade" WAY Catholics now do their endless genocides. They are pro-genocide. that's a difference. catholics r pro-genocide

  • THE CATHOLIC CHURCH THE GREAT WHORE

  • @HeidyfromNorway They are Pro-Genocide, always. They still teach their kids that slaughtering and genociding all of Europe (wiping out whole indigenous cultures of Europe, s/a France, Hungary, Poland, Spain, etc.) was the "unification" of Europe. And "crusades" (genocides from our point of view) and centuries of torture (inquisition) are "heroic." kids R indoctrinated in this obvious, self-centered murderous hubris, and when older, may just be unreachable, best avoided by other kids.

  • @HeidyfromNorway See comments on vid. They say nothing, but must b "right." mayB b/c terrified when young (images of hell, pedophile preists, or R cult 'love bombed', and so on). May solidify their shut-down consciousness, so they do not think or feel, really, or connect scripture TO REALITY, in the real world all around them. They believe everyone is a "sinner" (evil) and they are "above" it b/c their preists tell kids they "own the truth." Indirectly this teaches 'might is right.'

  • @satv365 Sry the Catholic church is the one and only church of Jesus Christ, this fact has been testified by all the Saints THROUGHOUT ALL AGES, it is undeniable fact...."Wherever Jesus is there is the Catholic church"...and ..."Whoever opposes the bishop does in reality serve the devil" - St Ignatius 80-110 A.D. Student of John the apostle, ordained bishop by Peter in Antioch.

  • @gtepp031387 martin luther king wasnt catholic he was baptist,he had god helping him did he not?

  • @gtepp031387 Oh brother!

  • @14greg14 Oh brother is right, come out of your Martin luther made church. Grace alone, not faith alone.

  • @gtepp031387 I think I just need to have a little touch from the Shroud Of Turin..This will solve all our disputes! In the name of?? The Shroud! He is Holy!! LOL

  • @14greg14 humm?......I would rather rely on the pillar and foundation of truth, that is the church of the living GOD.

  • Basically the protest(GODs church)ants, believe that there personal intepritation of the bible(A Catholic book, put together and canonized by the Catholi church in 393 A.D.) is the pillar and foundation of the truth. This is word for word contridicted by the scripture which says the "The Church of the living GOD, the pillar and foundation of truth"

  • This doesn't really work, does it? When the Chairman asks the first question, which goes on FOREVER. And then it continues with arrogant point-scoring.

  • what a waste of time....science is our only salvation people....watch zeitgeist and learn the real truth

  • @serafim71 lol research "zeitgeist refuted", stop being so lazy and research claims, don't just accept it because it affirms your world view, and makes you feel nice.

    Two Examples

The 3 kings(stars) in the sky in Egyptian tales represent what in Christianity? Nothing.

Zeitgeist's argument that the word Sun was simply replaced with Son over time is nonsense. The bible was written in hebrew, aramaic and greek, so no such spelling mistake could occur. Son and Sun are English words.

  • @RenegadeMaster07 As for science being our only salvation. Science was started by Theists, who had to believe the world made sense in the first place.

Science does not conflict with christianity.

Jesus is our only salvation. He sets us free from sin. This happens when you admit you are a sinner and accept him as your saviour. "We are saved by grace through faith.. and not of works lest any man should boast" but that must be a true belief, thus affect your actions "Faith without works is dead"

  • They DENY Jesus died ONCE for ALL.They DENY Jesus is our ONLY salvation. They DENY Jesus did away with the needs for priests. They DENY God forgives us of ALL sin. They DENY only God can forgive sins against God.They DENY we must worship God and God alone. They DENY God when He says "For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God"

  • the rcc says that evolution is in line with Christianity and catholics can believe in it. This is CONTRARY to the Bible. the rcc says mary was sinless. this is CONTRARY to the Bible. the rcc says confess your sins to a priest. this is CONTRARY to the Bible. the rcc says mary can save you. this is CONTRARY to the Bible. the rcc says peter was "the rock". this is CONTRARY to the Bible. The rcc murdered MILLIONS of Christians. This is CONTRARY to the Bible.

  • @kiwichristian2009

I believe you have misread scripture, history, and the beliefs of the Catholic Church, friend. You have a lot of passion, which is a great gift from God. Perhaps you should direct it away from tearing down your Christian brothers and sisters, and toward building up yourself spiritually and converting the non-Christian world.

  • @zildjianbronze Thank you for your comment my friend. Please rather than making general, blanket statements, be specific. I can provide proof from scripture and rcc documents and statements to back up the above claims. It is just important to bring the TRUE Word of God to those stuck in false religions and cults as it is to those who are non-Christians.

  • The Catholic church is the little horn in daniel. Theres no scriptual difference between Catholicism and any other branch of traditional Christianity. None of those religions have anything to do Christianity.

  • @tramoliter Amen!

  • infiltrate the other denominations?? I certainly hope the truth of the catholic church have an effect upon people who aren't in the church. Your statement is ridiculous! You obviously haven't done very much studying at all and are making statements through ignorance!

  • @cwherod

    -

What he might be referring to (I don't know that individual) is Rome's increasing Post-Modernistic, inclusive theology. Vatican II even says that people who have never heard the Gospel can be saved! Rome will continue to expose itself -to those who have eyes and ears, anyway- as a false and non-Christian religion.

  • protestants sprung up a few hundred years ago after Christ had already established his Church. They lead a revolution. YES REVOLUTION NOT REFORMATION. AND KING HENRY THE HERETIC AND ADULTERER WAS THE MEANS BY WHICH THIS NEW HERESY COULD GROW. learn your history and you will be catholic. Make sure you dont learn some protestant sided History that makes the Church evil

  • Eventually the catholic church will infiltrate the other denominations and make it appear that they all get along...

  • @historyisknowledge

What are you talking about? And what does this have to do with the truth as presented in the video?

  • Comment removed

  • @historyisknowledge True. The claim of the RCC as the only (infallible) & true church is blatantly falacious. In 1986 in Assisi Italy,Pope J,Paul II gathered the world's religious leaders to pray for 'world peace'.There were snake worshipers, animists, buddhists, hindus, muslims, north american witch doctors, fire worshipers, presbytarians, methodists etc, pope said THEY WERE ALL PRAYING TO THE SAME GOD!! Also homosexualism, lesbianism, pedophilia etc holds sway in the enclaves of an infal. church!

  • um... I'm not going to be looking back here ever so feel free to answer me back but... I have never meet a catholic who puts a man above God... or anywhere close... Men are but men, do we love them, obviously, we do worship them? Obviously not. No Catholic is confused to whom God is, it's just there are some men whom are successors to St. Peter and their faith, IN GOD, is what makes us respect them. I believe there is a huge different between respecting someone and well, loving them like God.

  • Catholics-->answer this question.

Do you have faith in CHrist or faith in the POPE?

Your choice here is the difference between eternal life and death......

"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him..."

  • @afzpuppet Faith In Jesus Christ and that Faith commands me to OBEY HIM, If JESUS Left and GAVE Authority to His Apostles and Peter like the leader OF THEM on earth, I OWE OBEDIENCE TO THE CHURCH Because Jesus Said...WHOEVER HEARS YOU HEARS ME... WHOEVER REJECTS YOU REJECTS ME... LUKE 10:16 You want it more clear Non Catholic or that is enough... I believe the pride is the problem of non catholics to accept they are wrong.. same pride throw out luzbell from heaven..

  • @boxitomex -->I have much respect for the minsters of true christianity. However, Roman Catholism is riddled with Bad Doctrine and a History of Corrupt Officials in its Hierarchy going all the way up to the POPE. Also, it incorporates Images and Statues in its idolatrous worship.. as such..This is an abomination to God. The Orthodox church also has problems with its use of Images, mysticism and doctrine.

    .

  • @afzpuppet If you say it.... The Catholicism is the most Healthies Doctrine Based In The Bible... Unique not like Protestantism that is divided in thousand churches... is that the unity Jesus wanted... of course not..Statues? please that is an old argument... learn to read the Bible Bro.. The cower corrupts but the doctrine its been intact.. Check the roots of your church.. what man founded it?

  • @afzpuppet, In Exodus 25:18-22; 26:1,31 - God commands the making of the image of a golden cherubim, was this idolatry?

I Kings 6:23-36; 7:27-39; 8:6-67 - Solomon's temple, you know God's house of worship, contains statues of cherubim and images of cherubim, oxen and lions. God did not condemn these "incorporates Images and Statues" in worship.

You know an Apostle, Judas, betrayed Jesus. Does that make Christianity false due to having a few corrupt leaders?

    Is Christ's divinity a doctrine?

  • @wood9670, The Cherubims on the ark was a holy design to mimick the actually Cherubim around God's throne. Aarons, his sons and the Levites never did to the designs what Catholics do to their images. The same with Solomon's temple a holy design, not to kiss, not to honor or cry to.

  • @QuantumUni, David bows down before God's Holy Temple, a man made object (Psalm 138:2). Jacob bowed 7 times before Esau his brother, a man (Gen 33:3). There's no implication of worship in kneeling or bowing, or any other gesture.

Worship is based on intellect and intent, not outward actions; although they are connected. So Unless you can read minds & know Catholics are evil idolaters you really need to calm down.

And design or not, the point is that making an image doesn't mean its an idol.

  • I did'nt suggest that bowing down is an implication of the intent of the individual to worship. But it is a polite expression of exalting something or someone while lowering yourself as Jacob did with Esau his powerful brother. Your other example with the temple was poor in comparison to the subject, this temple is not the image of any being rather real or imaginary(e.g. molten calf) but a vessel for God to dwell(Isaiah 66:1). Yahweh doesn't want you to honor him through an image.

  • @QuantumUni, I still don't understand your objection. What sin are Catholics committing if its not the sin of idolatry. Are you saying honoring a saint is a sin?

  • @wood9670, I have no problem with statues or paintings of Mary, saints, Jesus to honor them for remembrance. But when they glorify the image as if it's real or actually Mary or Jesus and place it on altars and direct their intent and focus on the solid object as a medium to the divine, when in reality blocks it, their seems to be error. Jesus is not a man, he does not want to be glorified through an image but through the Holy ghost.

  • @afzpuppet thats not a good question buddy. because a catholic can answer it with a question. who does the pope have faith in?....better yet, do you have faith in your pastor or jesus?..everyone is obviously going to say jesus. and again with the anti christ lol since i was a kid every church ive been in menions has thought the pope is anti christ..and everytime guess what?..he gets old and dies. so which pope is the anti christ?..or are they many?

  • @afzpuppet

St. Peter was the first pope, so Catholic is the true Church that Christ started. due to some authorities taking advantage of its name, it got negative reputation to some who witnessed the false witness shown by some Catholics. which started the Protestant group, barely 500 yrs ago

  • @libetta Wrong. Emperor Constantine was the first to proclaim himself pontius maximum, a title STILL used by popes. He adopted Christianity, mixed in his paganism ( hence the catholic candles, praying to and for dead people, mary worship, statues, etc. ) and there you have catholicism. Peter is not the rock, because the 12 disciples, knowing well the OT, recognised the Rock as a description or name for God. Duet32:4,Psalms18:2,Psalm18:31
