  • American government make up numbers all the time so makes it look better for its reelection.

  • @bigotmaster The closest you will get to a people's leader can be found at 1:16 - the (elite) people's leader.

  • I love how they go on and on about medicare and social security... everyone is avoiding the elephant in the room...military spending. The amount of money spent on military in the united states is staggering.

  • @ShinEmperor You said it all in the nut shell!

  • The solution to a declining middle class is to through GATT and NAFTA in a trash can, and get rid of lazy bureaucrats who do not want to do the hard work of regulating foreign trade.

An increase in taxes may frighten foreign investment away, but not if the money is invested wisely in infrastructure, alternative fuels, and schools, not corporate welfare and social give away programs. No more tax breaks for the wealthy!

  • DRIVEL! The reason the 'middle class' is going down the tubes in America is simple: "As you sow, so you reap". It is due to the indifference the middle class has shown to the working class--the "lower class" if you will. Many have become far too tolerant of other peoples' sufferings. We have citizens literally dying out in the cold due to inadequate social safety nets, yet we're spending $50K a year, per prisoner in Calif. Let's discuss the theft of America by corrupt banksters & political whores

  • @bigotmaster

No, leaders are partly what has gotten you into this shit. Never bet on just one horse, pick more than one or start riding yourself.

  • RT, how do you have internal commercials that are not within YouTube?

Is RT also on TV somewhere?

  • The middle class in the USA is much more comfortable than in other countries.

The guy in Boston was 100% right and logical while RT attempts rhetoric.

Food stamps? Ya the country has enough GDP to support its people...but the middle class is not the people using them...

  • RT talks as if the West is not already a fully developed and mature economy and culture.

Of course things will change as the rest of the world catches up....

  • Lets have a Cross Talk about the micro economy and structure of RUSSIA...not the rest of the world that developed everything, for once.

  • @knoose

Lets have a Cross Talk about the micro economy and structure of RUSSIA

    ---

watch "On the Money" with Peter Lavelle

  • The first guy coming from Washington that kept his cool during the debate

  • ...What's In The Middle? In The Middle of Big American Ass is a King-Size Hole...

  • @bigotmaster Ron Paul look like good guy, doe Im not American so I may not know all about him. But as I see it non Americans better see situation in America than Americans :)

  • In capitalism, capital begets capital leading to terminal accumulation and it revolves around the idea that individual greed is good for society as a whole (a HUGE leap of faith). Those who have the majority of wealth are not inclined to pursue the remaining drops of capital or to give it back to the workers who give the capital its worth in the first place.

Capital has to be returned to the workers in large portions through taxation or wages or resources must constantly expand.

  • @harveybirdmannequin

The capital returning to the workers is called "socialism/communism/redistribution of wealth".

Resources constantly expanding so that the poor masses' capital keeps its worth is calling empire/expansionism.

When individuals/corporations amass the majority of wealth through capitalism and successfully buy the government it is fascism. Capitalism = Proto-Fascism.

The USA took the absolute wrong turn. It's a fascist empire stealing resources and the people suffer under it.

  • @harveybirdmannequin

Through automation and mechanization a large number of jobs can be eliminated/made redundant. This should be rejoiced. It should be the aim of humans to have a world of plenty for all that requires little labour and allowing plenty of leisure. The capitalists don't see it as such. They see the excess population as an unnecessary operating cost and a happy populace as a potential threat to existing power structure.

There is a plan to kill off a large number of the world.

  • Times are getting so tough for people around the world, the costs of living fuel food. the hard times are coming, the evil times.

  • @bigotmaster lets hope Ron Paul meets the bill

  • Great show

  • A Policy driven death spiral. That just about sums it up.

The top 1% is getting richer and richer and the middle class is disappearing. Social Security was unfair from the beginning; the tax only applies to the first hundred thousand or so. That means that people who earn $1million a year are only paying SS tax applied to 1/10th of their income. Thus the SS burden falls most heavily on the middle class.

Health Care policy favors Big Pharma and Insurance companies. We can do more for less.

  • UK National Health Service works very well - remember Doctors & Nurses (middle class people) spend their wages in shops, buying houses etc. & taxes from people working to provide these things can again pay Doctors & Nurses, keeping money in circulation.

However USA 'Freedom' commanded & controlled by Rich Global Pharmaceutical, Insurance & other Companies, is forcing up prices of treatments, benefiting of richest 1%, who own them, & sucking money out of Countries which care for all people.

  • THUMBS DOWN haha.

  • This is what happens when GOVERNMENT protects CORPORATIONS...

Make no mistake, this is NOT CAPITALISM.

  • @helltrackrider This is the deifinition of fashinsm.

  • Jeffrey Miron must be in this 1% of higher income... or just kissing 1%'s ass

  • @PARATERRORIST Miron works for the CATO Institute which is funded by the Koch brothers - two of the top 10 riches men in the world. Go figure. He ought to try trading places with a working class bloke who has been unemployed for a year.

  • Communism and Fascist cannot thrive with a large middle class.

Very interesting. After apartheid in Africa, the White middle class were decimated, more than half fled the rest were left completely impoverished. But the elites, the exceptionally wealthy have grew incredibly more rich, than they ever were under apartheid.

This same pattern is occurring world wide.

  • When the oligarchy corporates have squeezed the middle out of existence, and thier all really poor they'll start on squezzing the poor. All those pennies the poor have.

See the richest produce nothing but exploitation.

  • instead of America to be the "Police of the world", the should focus on paying their 14 trillion in depts, and focus on their citizens...

  • The government has effectively tried to destroy the middles class, especially the white middle class. This has been going on for decades though, and not just in America. Mass immigration hasn't helped the middle either, nor has destroying industry and relying on imports so the rich get richer by paying peasant type wages abroad, affirmative action has also done whites out of jobs on a local basis. Discrimination and destruction by design. Richard Eskow is on the right track.

  • health care should be universal. in every part of the world. if it can work in one country. it can work in the rest of the world.. the problem is big pharma abusing on its consumers on medicine that should not be expensive

  • When did I get to vote on this social contract? Who wrote it? When? Can I opt out?

  • What a wonderful world we live in.

  • TECHNOLOGY is the reason most of us see a higher living standard. BUT, this does NOT take away the fact that 1% have most the money is not a problem... it is a HUGE problem. Because it is trending to that in at a huge rate. Govt is dead and dying, no money no taxes, no jobs.

  • Russia I am sooooooooooooooooooo Madly InLove with George S. =D

  • If the middle class does not have enough income growth, in the same level as the expenditure increase in everything, not just health, than does not matter if it is the BEST if it is unaffordable.

I would even dare to say that:

If the middle class of 10 years ago would be able to get the best health they could get 10 years ago

    AND

A middle class now with the health technology and prices of today cannot get the complete health treatment without going bankrupt

    Than I say:

    Today it is worse.

  • behead the corporate vampires..."power to the people!!!"

  • Middle classes are an easy target. The governments are desperate for money. The lower class have none. That rules them out. The upper class have loads. They have developed ways (legally. Yea right.) to keep it. And so the middle class are getting screwed up the you no where. It's called economics, or capitalism.

  • @Aristilus middle class is a distinction made to separate the extremely poor from the only moderately poor, which we call middle class. 90% of Americans make less than 75,000 dollar a year.
