Robert Reed (Mike Brady) played Dr. William Reynolds in Roots. Don't know if he had slaves though, but i hope he did, LOL.

yea roots was a weeklong tv movie back in the late 70s..i remember my parents where inthralled with it, but was to young to stay up and watch it..
it was before cable tv really blew up, and i believe had the highest tv nielson ratings ever at the time, over 1/2 of the housholds in the US watched part 8!!
