His point, if you had cared to read it, is that copyright piracy is a practice that now it has risen to the levels it's at today, will not be easily eradicated. He is probably also suggesting that the illegal downloading of a CD is a somewhat petty matter compared to the rates of hunger and poverty that are still widely neglected problems in many countries.
