@theyorkshirewhites The beginning is what was throwing me off. Re-listening to it, I can see (hear) it now. I am used to his more "rough" work such as with Alcatrazz.
My favorite Roy Wood Song and deffinatly the best song on the first ELO album, great version, I've never heard this before, this single must be worth it's weight in gold
I wouldn't WANT to hear this on CD! The audio on this video is EXACTLY what it should be. The perfect way to hear this song. Watching the record spin is just a welcome bonus.
It is a difficult song to sing. I've sung it in Bardic Circles with the SCA because it sounds like something you'd hear from Mediaevel times. Did it a capella. It's enough to tear your throat out.
I definitely remember reading an article on Graham Bonnett in Record Collector in which a reference to joining ELO was made. I'll see if I can dig it out...
Ta, Sorry about the quality it's just a small digital camera that also takes movies, I have no video editing software for effects/titles etc - The sound isn't brilliant either
This doesn't sound like Graham Bonnet to me.

Yes Graham Refused to join Elo because they asked him to play bass while singing and he wasn't able to do both in the same time.

I sincerely love spinning 45 video posts! I couldn't agree more with the Carl Wayne statement above. Excellent take.

Nice on Man In The Clinic.
Didn't Graham nearly join ELO at one point?
Great song.

I havent heard about that but I seem to remember Glenn Hughes was offered a job with ELO, maybe you are thinking of him.

Great, good to hear a great song covered.
My theory: You either cover a song true to its form or change it completely to blow us away.
Roy has the angst.
(Bet you can't take a clip of a CD spinning)

Truly beautiful. Roy's is still golden, but this is a very close second! Favourited. Thanks for posting this. I miss my record player now.
