  • neat recipe... the way u show it makes it easier to understand, thanks a lot!

  • your amazing x

  • i made this and messed up the icing so i melted more white chocolate added a little cream and then spread that in the middle of the cake and the top and diced some rice krispies over the top and sides, and served at room temp. it was all gone in 5 mins ;-)

  • im in university, and im definitely making this on the weekend

  • Yumm it's delicious thank

  • OH MY GOOOODNESS!!! This looks DELICIOUSSS!!! Thanks for sharing, I must make this some day.

  • omgggggggggggg soooooooo lovely

  • damn I thought my mixture was thicker than yours. I missed the half cup of hot water and the texture is more like bakewell tart than cake. however, I have put the icing on the top and will make the best of it. I think it will taste homemade and delicious anyway.

  • *drools*

  • I LIKE YOUR EYES NO HOMO

  • I'm making this for a birthday on saturday. woo hoo! but i'm worried about slicing the cake in half..would it be better to divide the mixture into two cake tins for baking?

  • @RichardPapen1 Allow the cake to cool completely, then gently slice the cake in half. Use a sharp bread knife ;)

  • I know this is unrelated but I'm a young american chef and I noticed your eggs are slightly orange while here our eggs are yellow, why is this?

  • @burninhate33 I've been asked this many times, and I honestly don't know. I can only assume it has something to do with what the chickens are fed :)

  • @OnePotChefShow Its because some chicken at fed with beta carotene.. to fortify the eggs.. we hav similar ones in Germany :D

  • @burninhate33 When chickens are fed greater quantities of leafy green vegetables, they produce oranger yolks... For people who keep chickens as a hobby, generally they try to produce an oranger yolk, given that eggs with oranger yolks are more nutritious, being that the chicken is healthier. I've noticed myself that some free run eggs have much oranger yolks than regular eggs.

  • @burninhate33 I'm in the U.K and (while I'm not 100% sure this applies on an tinernational scale) I'm fairly sure the more reddish/orange the yolk, the healthier the chicken and fresher the egg itself. Battery farmed eggs are noticeably paler here.

  • this recipe is AMAZING!!! YOU'RE AMAZING!!!

best cake recipe i've ever come across, the icing and the cake together is a thing of beauty..

  • how long will this take to make? By the way, I'm the BIGGEST onepotchefshow fan!

  • Can i use coffee powder instead of cocopowder for the frosting?? =)

  • @08jinnodelosreyes Absolutely - White Mocha Cake sounds delicious :)

  • I made this today and omg soooooo good! I could eat the icing on its own *though I'd probably be sick lol*. Thanks a million for this recipe David :)

  • "Heat proof bowls" were invented by NASA for use in the windows in the capsules during the Apollo missions in the 1960's. Now known as Pyrex, it is able to handles the changes from extreme hot to extreme cold without exploding like ordinary glass would. Nice little fun fact to get your brain juices going.

  • could you use double cream?

  • @gumgala Yes, that would be fine ;)

  • Looks awesome mate!

  • HAHA I love how u answer ppl's questions and end it with a wink ;)

  • @PinkCoral1998 LOL I'm funny like that ;)

  • Long time no video! Nicko' s gone too ! Did you go to US together?

  • Favoriting this. Looks fantastic!

  • Great looking cake.

Although it looks like a lot of frosting for a cake that size.

I would just make half of the frosting and it would be enough to cover the whole cake.

  • aaah man i want that yummy

  • ''Let's have a taste'' GRRR! I want that cake.

  • You .........are..............evil

  • frosting looks yummy!m looking for dis type of frosting n i found it thank.

  • omgI just love U I can watch U forever <3

    I made this YUMMMMY

plz can U do a donut recipe I so need a good one ?!!

  • um can i use betty crocker chocolate frosting instead?

  • @moroko2009 absolutely ;)

  • this channel is very similar to niko's cooking channel, but this is still awesome none the less. Good work!

  • yum

  • wow that looks so goood !

  • Im not gay but your eyes are sexy man

  • God this looks soooooooooooo good.

  • Do you use baking powder or baking soda?

Just wondering if there's a difference in names there.

  • @dr1pdr0pz Use baking powder. Baking soda is a different product ;)

  • i would marry you, just cook for me <3

  • Hi - I have a problem with cocoa powder (allergy) but I can have white chocolate. What suggestions could you give for changing the icing/cream mix? It looks yummy but I don't want to face a migraine later! (Neither would my workmates with me having one :-p)

  • WHYYY am i watching this before breakfast!!!!!!!

  • I tryed this and it was extremely sweet. Still good :)

  • Cake looks great! For the frosting did you use double cream? Also does the frosting hold up in the fridge if you leave it over night or longer? Thanks!

  • @MissAngie8787 I used normal whipping cream. The frosting will thicken slightly when stored in the fridge. This cake (and the frosting) is best consumed within 3 days ;)

  • Doesn't get any more simple than this. Great recipe for beginners.

  • OMG!! I could dive right into that!! lol. Looks scrummy! :)

  • WHITE CHOCOLATE IS FINALLY RECOGNISED IN THE WORLD! This has been so underrated its not funny. Loving all these vids on blondies, cakes, cookies & slices with with chocolate. YUMYUMYUM!

Thank you for this food porn :D

  • if anyone has tried this let me know how it actually tastes!

  • yum i need one piece right now:)!!

  • Did you bake the cake or steam it? It looks really good!

  • @genmama1955 You bake it ;)

  • I like the intros :D

  • That made my mouth water!

  • Mm, white chocolate my fav!

  • omg you have it going on i really like chocolate cake,

  • yummmmm will make this for my birthday haha

  • oo brownie recipe in sidebar, hope you didn't ruin the texture with chocolate chips

  • Looks good. Moist and all. Thanks for sharing another great video!

  • Can`t wait 2 try it!! Mmmmm looks yumtastic!!

  • Great use of your spare white chocolate. =P I wish I could put my hand through the screen and grab a slice!

  • Looks delish.

  • is there anyway to make it a white chocolate frosting or just use a butter cream frosting?

  • @mwmwmwmwmmdw I deliberately didn't use White Chocolate in the frosting so I could have a contrast. Too much White Chocolate can make the cake sickly sweet, so using Cocoa for the frosting helps to cut through the sweetness. But feel free to use a different frosting recipe if you prefer ;)

  • It's like you read my mind, I've been going through a white choc phase recently xD

  • awesome video of course! do you have any simple recipes for pumpkin or zucchini. i have made bread of the squash, but my 2.5 year old son really is finicky and i am trying to hide his vegtables :) LOL

  • @ebaymamaqueen Try my Crunchy Vegetable Nuggets and use a combination of potato and pumpkin for the base. I've also got a really yummy Roasted Pumpkin Soup you might like to try - check out the playlists on my channel page ;)

  • another amazing video! Keep up the great work, huge fan!x

  • that looks DELICIOUS :) can i make them as cupcakes and use the cream mixture on top like a frosting? x

  • @LushinNickii Absolutely ;)

  • He's got AWESOME eyes :D

  • Amazing.

  • Would it be possible to use milk or cream instead of water when melting the chocolate? extra richness or something? :)

  • @jazzyb2u You can if you wish, but I find the water keeps the cake moister ;)

  • I've watched alot of your videos and noticed that the eggs are really orange? Is that the camera or are the eggs just orange there? :P

  • @MsSaydee The eggs are just orange here ;)

  • you deserve a youtube partner ship!

  • @kisa154 LOL He is a partner since 2008

  • I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS

  • white chocolate melted is not nearly as impressive!

(i know it had other stuff in it, there's something about that chocolate colour but that makes it so much more inviting... hehe)

    still delish, love white chocolate!

  • My heaven!!!!!!

  • i'm definaetly going to make this for the next upcoming birthday party of a friend =D

  • makes me want to eat cake for breakfast lol looks good

  • Yum looks delicious

  • looks ugly but looks sooooo yum

  • vanilla extract is not available where I live. is there a replacement?

  • @flamexXxstrings Vanilla Essence or a small amount of Vanilla paste would be fine ;)

  • OMG I was literally without internet the last month and gawd I've missed watching your videos!

  • @TheOneAndOnlyMe92 Welcome back online - grab a snack and get comfy ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow @TheOneAndOnlyMe92 Thanks! Oh trust me I will [;

  • that looks absolutely delicious!

  • Mmmmmmmm yum!

  • I see you really like Vanilla Extract, cuz my friend that was way more than teaspoon of vanilla extract. :)))

  • @lukaveljovic LOL that was a "theoretical" teaspoon ;)

  • you make best cooking guides!

  • LOL when you were putting the frosting on the cake my mouth started watering and I said "I fking love you" o-o...

  • the cake looks small...should i double the ingredients and use a larger cake tin?

  • @theadorjespert This cake will feed 6-8 people - but feel free to double the ingredients and use a larger tin if you're feeding a larger crowd ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow alrighty then, after my HUGE examination I'll party with the cake like there will be no more tomorrow!!!! :D

  • looks like condensed milk then you poured it! will try this tomorrow!

  • really well thought out recipe and well done video, david. you actually made it look very doable. thanks. :-)

  • YOUR EYES. I wanna do the world record for eating 50 mcnuggets in under 4 and a half minutes.... Sucks being underaged :/

  • That cake sure isn't a lie. OM. NOM. NOM.

  • Mmhmm that's the shot!

  • As much I would love to eat it I'm lactose Intollerent , any suggestions? :( :(

  • Oh. Em. Gee.

  • the white chocolate is made of butter why u add more ?

  • @omar390z White Chocolate isn't made of butter - it's the same as regular chocolate, it just lacks the cocoa solids that are present in milk or dark chocolate ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow really gd to know thx i forgot to say beautiful cake :)

  • Are you trying to kill us?

  • @KingVikram Yes - my dastardly plan is revealed ;)

  • @OnePotChefShow Deliciously dastardly* :p

  • Dave you bastard, IM drooling thinking about eating that cake, arggghhh looks so damn good!! Its 11:26 pm here in NZ, why'd I watch this, whyyyyyy now I can't sleep, need... cake... now

  • @iJAUZION I was going to leave a comment but I think you covered everything I was going to say :)

  • I have a cooking tip for you! I see you hate to sift flour as much as I do. If you whisk the flour and baking powder you'll get a lighter cake than if you mix it with a spoon :)

Also, that is the best creamy frosting I have ever seen. -- Insert Homer Simpson drool noise here --

  • why does the white chocolate look so weird when it's melted?

  • @anexpatkid Because it's not just white chocolate, there are other ingredients in the mixture ;)

  • YUM! Haven't eat cake for at least a year!

  • FOODGASM!

  • Another good one, David. I'm not to keen on white chocolate, but I'll try this next time I feel adventurous.

  • @ScrapyardApe Feel free to replace the white chocolate with milk chocolate or dark chocolate if you prefer ;)

  • Really nice, the cake itself must be delicious, since it already has chocolate in it :)

  • YUM!

  • epic red whisk ftw!

  • not fair! I was first!!! LOOOL Thank you so much Dave, this is awesome!!! CANT WAIT TO TRY IT!!!!!! :)

  • First :P

  • @OnePotChefBlog DAMN!
