Katrina is a great singer...but how did she get graded so high against Aaliyah? I thought maybe the votes should have been tied...but whatever. The ones who lost on star search were stars anyway (Christina A., Beyonce, Destiny's Child, etc.)

You did not do your research. They were both great. Katrina went on a different path, but now has returned to music. Had you gone to her website, you would have seen she is now on the radio in 2 countries, is selling records and is growing in music after leaving her job as a lawyer. Do the research before you slam and it is fine to love Aaliyah. Katrina has great admiration for what Aaliyah did.

Great video from a time where music and talent were displayed in a simple less commercial fashion. Just had face to face singing-a great concept. Also it gives everyone a platform to agree or disagree with judges and that is also what is great about You Tube is we can still do that today 19 years after they sang against each other.
