I thought he was Dutch or really strong South African when he started speaking. I must admit that I thought he was hilarious. I love that kind of understated humour that kind of tricks you. I think it's clever. It gets on my nerves the way people in the uk (I'm from the UK) don't think Germans or French (etc) are funny. I think it'll change as more European comedians come into the uk though. I heard there's a few Scandinavian ones around London.

I only found this because I was looking for David Mitchell. I’m German and I’ve never heard of Henning Wehn and I cringed first time I saw this. But I’m slowly getting used to him and I have to admit that he represents Germans quite well in a very embarrassing way: ”some people have got duties” aaahhh How does he manage to keep his German accent to this extend while living in London? Must be hard work.

They're not, I'm British. But to be fair I'm from Zimbabwe mainly but the accent is pretty much the same.

There's some really strong accent which foreigners might think sounds similar to a German accent but it's very different to my ears. Mostly it's like most accents, a lot less strong than foreigners think. I live in Australia and get defensive when British people mimic the accent because I don't know anyone 9except for Steve Irwin) who sounds like that.
