i take hairfinity. and i loveeee it. <3 worked better for me then biotin, biotin made my roots all crazy too lol. i ended up losing thickness when i had to comb it all out. and i like thickness. oh and gorgeous hair btw. so healthy!
woooh so Im totally going to get on that biotin plan girl! omg thats so awesome. this summer has been HORRIBLE for my hair and I so need to grow it out so thnx for these vids
I hope it works for you! Just remember, you'll start getting A LOT of new growth on biotin, so make sure you comb through it to prevent matting and to keep your hair growing long and beautiful :-)
thanks love i did a quick video to you nd andrea to ask just another question so go on my channel and see how long my hair is really...don't mind i don't have makeup on & i look a mess.
hey my name is Lana ....& i've been watching your videos were you co washing your hair once every three days or just washing and conditioning once every week.
Lately I have been switching off with a full wash and a co wash. So, one week I'll do a wash and deep conditioner, and the next week I'll just co wash. My hair seems to do best with that :-)
@windada thanks love i did a quick video to you nd andrea to ask just another question so go on my channel and see how long my hair is really...don't mind i don't have makeup on & i look a mess.
@TVQUEEN01 Before you relax, you should do a strand test to see how your color treated hair responds to the relaxer. But if there is no bad reaction, then yes, you can relax your hair :-)
Biotin helps the hair grow in thicker, but even if you don't take as much biotin as you did b4 when stretching especially for long periods of time you need to deep condition with something very moisturizing so that your natural texture will be easy to handle. Plus don't forget to keep the balance of protein and moisture. Also weather stretching or not deep conditioning treatments are very necessary if you want not just healthy hair but to retain what is growing in.
I am sure your hair did not do that because of biotin. sounds to me like you didn't brush/comb it daily. biotin doesn't make clumps, it just helps the hair grow. it sure is working on mine, I cannot believe it. how many mg do you take daily?
I took a tiny pill of it everyday. It's because I have a VERY curly hair texture, but I get my hair relaxed. So when I got 6 months of new curly growth (about 3 inches of craziness), it always tangled up no matter how much I combed it. So I now take biotin once a week which is much better for me, lol.
I taken a biotin pill every day. there is a 250 mg pill, a 500 mg pill and a 1000 mg pill. I guess my question is: what mg pill do you take every day. thanks.
I use Infinity by Conair. I've never owned a chi, but I've used them before. With most of them, you can't always control the temperature settings, which freaks me out, so I won't spend a bunch of money on something that I can't control. lol
It can be difficult to prevent matting when you are working with two textures (one relaxed and one your natural curly hair). I don't stretch my hair (I wear it unprocessed and curly) but I think this tip might work for you. When I was growing out my relaxed hair before cutting it, I would condition the roots once or twice a week with any silicone free conditioner (V05 is good) and then apply a leave-in after washing it out. Next, I would smooth a mix of olive castor oil through and no matting.
I noticed that you said your hair grows to a certain lenght and then breaks. Was your hair long before you started getting relaxers? Im just wondering because my hair broke like crazy when I was getting relaxers now that i am natural and no longer use relaxers it is not breaking anymore. I am not against relaxers or anything. I was just wondering.
My hair was semi long before I started getting relaxers, but not really. It broke back then too because my mum would always blowdry and use curling irons on it just to control it. So I'm hoping my gentle handling and relaxer stretching will make it grow longer. :-)
I had that problem before. Next time when you stretch again use a wide tooth comb and a detangling spray. Spray detangler on wet hair and comb hair gently from your ends to your new growth. Also, make sure you find a product that will soften your new growth up, so it will be easier to manage. Your hair could of had been longer if it wasn't matted. HHG :)
I recommend Mane n Tail Detangler. Some ladies recommend this product to me as well. It is very a cheap product. The cost range from $2.99-$4.99. I gotten mine for $2.99. This stuff is amazing.
I actually had a similar experience with Biotin. My hair grew so fast that I hardly knew what to do with it. I really like the results I get with the Fish Oil capsules, though. They are sometimes hard to get down because they're so big, but my hair has never been so glossy and shiny.
You're hair looks great! I love the color too, it's gorgeous.
Wow! Your hair is looking gorgeous. I've just started taking Biotin as my hair is shedding alot. Hopefully it will help with that and also make it grow faster. x
Yeah, I was cowashing about twice a week and then deep conditioning and detangling at the end of every week. lol, It was just crazy how my hair was acting. But it's doing much better now :-)
My next stretch will probably be between 3 to 6 months depending on how long my hair stays semi straight from the new keratin treatment. I'll keep you guys updated :-)
my husband is white and he likes to watch my hair go from straight to curly when it gets wet! lol!
