@black1999gt Watch the beginning of the video. There's a pop-up with the list of mods. There's no real way of measuring crank hp unless you pull the engine and hook it up to an engine dyno but if you want to estimate, 300-310 would be a rough guess.

i have an 04 gt that put down 244 and 288 with just an x pipe and 4.10s. Looks like headers and throttle body are kinda a waste. You got 17 more HP for prob $700-1000 more mods.

i just love how all these dicks want to compare hp, and considering that most of them have about 70 more cubic inches. 281 cubic inches 262 rwhp you lose roughly 30 from the drivetrain to the wheels so it's about 290 ish at the motor that is over 1 hp per cubic inch so thats actually pretty damn good.

Only 260rwhp? Yes LS1s put down 300rwhp thats great, F-bodys are also a squeaky rattling mess. I have owned 95 Z28 and a 98 Trans Am, both cars had nice power but not even close to the build quality of My 99 GT. Mustang have more style and anyone can add H.P. to a car. Reality is Camaro has been forced to always produce more power because Mustang is the true pony car. Don't get me wrong, I like F-bodies but its a joke for someone with a camaro to try and dis a Mustang.
@lee1rbc My LS1 Camaro doesnt squeak or rattle. they havent been forced to produce more power. They produce more power because they can. the LT1's are putting down the Same Dyno Numbers as an 98-04 GT.. LS1's are way better (IMO) because not only do they look better but they get fantastic mpg's for a car with 300rwhp. Mustang's are a dime a dozen, everybody has had or has a Mustang. they just arent anything special anymore. its hard to find a Nice LS1 F-Body, which is why i will take one.

well i have a 99 GT. and its alot different than my buddies 02, my other buddies 03 and another buddies 04. ford did a switch in the way they make the engines in 2001. different pullies and transmission, ect... but the 2001's wernt all made this way. it was half and half. i know 99-04 are the PI years, but they made 02-04 better than 99-00. 2001 was the switch year. so you should check what you have.
I'm not sure what you mean by alot different than 02-04. There was no performance difference between 99 and 04 motors. Ford slightly modified the design of the heads but the power rating for the motor was the same for all years. You're right about the different pulleys and transmission but other than a few cosmetic changes, the 99-04 were practically the same. I know mid-2001 was when Ford made those changes, I have changed my pulleys and I've pulled my transmission and had it strengthened.

Have 31 spline axles with an Auburn Pro Unit rear end with an Aluminum TA Cover, Centerforce DF Clutch. Wish I had some long tubes. Iv heard bad things about underdrive pulleys. Watch My vid's too if you have time.
Nope, they are a tight fit though (and only work with manual transmissions). The headers hang the lowest on my car and so I have to be careful over bumps and driveways, etc but otherwise, they are great

The dyno being used was a Mustang Dyno which typically gives lower numbers than a DynoJet, which is a more common dyno. I don't know which kind you used to measure yours

Only 260rwhp? Yes LS1s put down 300rwhp thats great, F-bodys are also a squeaky rattling mess. I have owned 95 Z28 and a 98 Trans Am, both cars had nice power but not even close to the build quality of My 99 GT. Mustang have more style and anyone can add H.P. to a car. Reality is Camaro has been forced to always produce more power because Mustang is the true pony car. Don't get me wrong, I like F-bodies but its a joke for someone with a camaro to try and dis a Mustang.

@lee1rbc My LS1 Camaro doesnt squeak or rattle. they havent been forced to produce more power. They produce more power because they can. the LT1's are putting down the Same Dyno Numbers as an 98-04 GT.. LS1's are way better (IMO) because not only do they look better but they get fantastic mpg's for a car with 300rwhp. Mustang's are a dime a dozen, everybody has had or has a Mustang. they just arent anything special anymore. its hard to find a Nice LS1 F-Body, which is why i will take one.

@minlos i doubt they are more reliable.. my camaro has 135k miles and i still beat modded stangs.. not to mention im completely stock. If there is such a high demand for them how come every where i look i see a mustang for sale? because they dont want them because the realized their mistake.. Its harder to find a nick LS1 FBody because people hold on to them..

@lee1rbc My 2001 WS6 is only squeaky when I'm chirpin tires. A mustang does not have more style than an F-body. LS1s produce more power because they can, not because they have to. LS1 vs a 4.6 has it beat by 90hp stock, and gets much better gas mileage. So yes, I will dis your Mustang, because I think its hilarious that you can do a full bolt on car, do 260 to the wheels, and act like you're hot shit. Mustang drivers are just as bad as ricers.

So you admit your Mustang doesn't have the looks and is not the best running, too bad. And yes, some Mustangs do sound good, and mine sounds great with the new exhaust/headers.

well i have a 99 GT. and its alot different than my buddies 02, my other buddies 03 and another buddies 04. ford did a switch in the way they make the engines in 2001. different pullies and transmission, ect... but the 2001's wernt all made this way. it was half and half. i know 99-04 are the PI years, but they made 02-04 better than 99-00. 2001 was the switch year. so you should check what you have.

I'm not sure what you mean by alot different than 02-04. There was no performance difference between 99 and 04 motors. Ford slightly modified the design of the heads but the power rating for the motor was the same for all years. You're right about the different pulleys and transmission but other than a few cosmetic changes, the 99-04 were practically the same. I know mid-2001 was when Ford made those changes, I have changed my pulleys and I've pulled my transmission and had it strengthened.

I have K&N CAI, BBK 78mm TB, stock headers :-(, doesnt seem like much room for long tubes, BBK Catted Mid Pipes with MAC Mufflers, 3.73 gears, Short Shifter, Suspension work as well, Short shifter, Dyno Tuned at 244 rwhp and 288 rwtq. Have 31 spline axles with an Auburn Pro Unit rear end with an Aluminum TA Cover, Centerforce DF Clutch. Wish I had some long tubes. Iv heard bad things about underdrive pulleys. Watch My vid's too if you have time.

Nope, they are a tight fit though (and only work with manual transmissions). The headers hang the lowest on my car and so I have to be careful over bumps and driveways, etc but otherwise, they are great

The tuner gave me about 5 more peak hp, but about 10 throughout the powerband and it was definitely very noticeable.
I don't know if I could point my finger to one particular bolt on that added the most...
Headers and O/R Midpipe, felt some power boost but it was so much louder it was kinda hard to compare to before haha.
Catback, felt about 10hp via butt dyno
Intake, 5-10hp + increased throttle response
Throttle body/plenum, another 5-10 and more response

The gears felt like about 20hp, but that's the effect they give (there's no actual power increase but acceleration times do drop)
Aluminum driveshaft, about 5hp less, lost to parasitic drivetrain inefficiencies
and lastly, the pulleys, felt like about 5hp but added lots of backfire to the exhaust >:-)
