Thanks for sharing! I feel like I'm in the living room with y'all. I keep imagining your mom cooking and listening to this hairy dude on her couch and can't help but to suspect that she really dug it. Thanks again for posting.... powerful stuff.
Wow! What an incredible story and an intimate setting to have Rich Mullins in your living room playing a new song! It would be cool if they used your story in the movie that's coming out this year. Thanks for the upload!
Pete, thank you for sharing I did have a question after reading your post and it kind of stems from a conversation I had with a guy who went to school with rich. David, the chaplain friend said that Rich was a smoker and this was the first time I had ever heard this. There's a part in your story where you mention cigarettes. Was Rich a smoker? Not trying pass judgement just at all just curious. From what I know he was an authentic guy and that's most important to me. Thanks Daniel
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing! What a tremendous loss we still feel...I was your age in 1997 and Rich has deeply impacted my walk since that time.
so awesome; never heard this one; thanks for posting and how cool to have met Rich; God's grace was so present in him, which I believe is why so many are drawn to him and his music! God bless you and looking forward to when we all can meet in Heaven!
I went to his 2nd to last concert in an old church right outside of Dallas one month before the accident. I can't believe I was 20 feet away from him and never got to meet him. He slipped off stage (which was his custom) during the last song. I have everything he's ever done and still listen to it daily. He was one of a kind and there will never be another Rich Mullins. Thanks SO much for posting this. It is VERY special..
I can't believe I've not seen this before! I agree, thank you for sharing. I miss him so very much, and seeing this now, I've got even more tears streaming down my cheeks. I had the profound pleasure of working with him briefly in Nashville as he first broke into the industry. How I miss him!!! This is exactly what we used to enjoy from him way back then. Thanks for the trip down memory lane for me right now - I'll shed even more tears.
Thanks to Jesus Christ Our Lord first. Rich's music along with others give life some spice, man. He really sends you to a place, doesn't he. A definite Godsend. Thanks to people like yourself for the posting. Peace to all believers. Thank you Rich Mullins...
Rich Mullins has been the most influential musician in my life. As a teenager in a messed up family, he spoke hope and truth into my life. Each time I pushed play on my cassette tape in my 1972 Super Beetle, I was reminded that "there is One True Love that keeps me sane, and out of all that I've got the only thing that won't change is this One True Love."
You have a heart of gold to share such an intimate, personal memory with a crowd of strangers...if other Rich fans can ever be strangers. Thank you, thank you. This is utterly beautiful. The Breaks (and a few others of the BK songs) are my forever favorites of all he did. To see him play this in such a casual setting is simply amazing. A wonderful gift. Thank you.
p.s. Excellent living-room footage...I mean the sockie-foot on the coffee table. :-) It makes me feel like I'm right there, since I do that, too. Seriously, this is so close and clear. Thank you. Excellent. I feel like I'm sitting in the room. What a gift.
@SceneBackstage Yeah Rich spent the last 3 weeks of his life at my parent's. I was 16 at the time and I slept on the couch while he took my room. It blew me away and I was blessed to have met him and witness his beautiful music and love for people. Stay tuned as I post more videos from a concert he performed less than 1 week before his tragic death. He is still missed by many, though many years have passed. Still, heaven is a better place with him in it! Pete

anyone have the words to this? I figured out most of them, but I'm having trouble with a few lines, and I'd really like to see the whole thing.
