@hussein335 those will make you faster but not as fast or precise with your tech skill as these pros. Part of tech skill isn't just being able to wavedash or lcancel perfectly every time, but to know the timings for each animation well enough that you can move from one into another without a single frame wasted. I personally think fast falling takes more skill than wavedashing. There are a bunch of variables to take into account when timing the ff. Easier to do yes, but harder to implement.

He was probably trying to, but as you can see, he used his double jump and tried to waveland, but he just airdodged before M2K hit him again off the edge. He didnt hit the ground, so he didnt regain his jump.

Melee has been out for what? 7+ years, and they are still finding new tactics and ways to play.

That's a good point, and I agree that people should give it more time. But at the same time, people have been playing the sh!t out of Brawl thus far, and it's pretty obvious it comes no where close to the same sheer amount of stuff you could do in-game that made Melee so deep. Like M2K has stated, the slower speed automatically sacrifices a certain amount of "deepness" that can't be obtained through any advanced technique.

Brawl's actually pretty deep. Reading your opponent there is mostly about trying to see how to rack up more damage. And causing damage usually means you avoided some. When it comes down to it, the decisive KO's depend on you being able to read your opponent's predictions so you can land finishing blows at a certain %. You also decide while playing what your finishing moves are, the moves you will ONLY use to KO, since each move loses its power each time it connects, which is regained each stock.
